Guests say

Middle Hivron is a well-received lodge offering stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and a hot tub that guests consistently enjoy. The property provides a comfortable and well-equipped space for groups and families, with thoughtful touches from the hosts adding to the experience. While some minor maintenance issues and a fly problem were noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests praising the cleanliness and expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the property to be spotlessly clean, with only a single mention of a fly problem and an isolated incident regarding bed linen. The positive remarks about cleanliness far outweigh the negatives, indicating a high standard of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and peacefulness, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the rural setting and proximity to nature, with many positive comments about the scenery and wildlife. The remote aspect is appreciated, although it requires driving to local attractions.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces homely. The property is described as a 'home from home', indicating a high level of comfort for guests. However, there were a few comments about the master bedroom bed being low and the decking being slippery.

Facilities like the hot tub, outdoor space, and kitchen are well-received, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues, such as things needing fixing and poor Wi-Fi connectivity. The hot tub is a highlight, though the need for more outdoor seating and updates to the property photos are suggested.

While guests frequently mention thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts and helpful hosts, there is not enough information to guarantee such amenities for future guests. The hosts' attentiveness and the provision of essentials are appreciated, but as gifts are not consistently referenced, a score cannot be accurately provided.

Great location with no light or noise pollution. Was worried about charging my EV car as the property is in the middle of nowhere; the host has an EV charger onsite and allowed us to use it at their regular electric tariff rate.

Hot tub was lovely and the grounds were nice and semi private. The only thing I would say as a negative is, it's not ideal for little ones, it should be known that it's not safe and secure enough for anyone under 5 or 6. The decking is super slippy and my children had numerous accidents on the decking We couldn't manage to get the hot tub really hot, just luke warm. There is also an additional fee for the logs and kindling for the hot tub which for the cost to stay we were surprised by. When stripping the beds, we found a very suspicious stain on the sheet which made us feel uneasy as to what we had been sleeping in. I think all in all, it's more suitable for a group of adults rather than a young family going to stay.

We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Rachel was very helpful and kind and even let us charge our electric car which we were extremely grateful for. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful lodge xx
