Ty Uchaf is a well-received holiday cottage in Llanbrynmair, praised for its seclusion, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped facilities. Guests enjoyed the large, enclosed garden, ideal for dogs, and the peaceful surroundings with beautiful views. The property's traditional charm and private setting make it a recommended stay for a relaxing getaway, despite concerns about a high housekeeping bond.

The location is described as idyllic, peaceful, and quiet, with picturesque views and proximity to nature and local attractions. The only drawback mentioned is the distance from local beaches, which suggests a slightly less than perfect score.

Guests found the house comfortable with good sofas, reading spots, and a well-equipped kitchen. The beds were also reported to be very comfy, indicating a high level of comfort.

The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and large garden. However, the absence of a tumble dryer and the mention of a high housekeeping bond suggest that there is room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Lovely large garden and surrounded by beautiful scenery. A great place to relax and enjoy a well earned break.

Our daughter and family joined us for the weekend which was filled with walks from the cottage, family meals and evenings in front of the fire. After they left us on Monday we went to the Co-op in Machynlleth, which is quite large and had all we needed for the rest of the week. We enjoyed a lovely day in Porthmadog, enjoying a take-out coffee sitting looking out at harbour (one of my “happy places”). The following day we went to Betws y Coed. Ty Uchaf is a beautifully restored old cottage, retaining many original features. The kitchen was well equipped and loved the range! Bedrooms were quirky and I’m assured that all beds were very comfy! All together, a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage, far away from the madding crowd - peaceful and dark, dark nights. Would love to return at some point in the future.
