Llangadfan 2.1 miles. Located near the traditional village of Llangadfan in Powys, in the popular area of Snowdonia and Mid Wales sits this two-storey riverside cottage, Min Y Nant. With access to the stream from the wildflower meadow at the front of the property and an enclosed garden and patio area with a wood-fired hot tub, there’s plenty of room to welcome the whole family at this rural escape, including one well behaved dog. Stepping through the front door into the homely living area with a woodburning stove, you’ll find the perfect place to unwind and warm up after a busy day exploring the great outdoors. Leading through to the country style kitchen you’ll find an electric oven and fully equipped kitchen for you to rustle up your favourite meal before sitting down together at the dining room table with seating for six. After dinner could be the ideal time to try out the wood-fired hot tub in the enclosed back yard, where there is also a bench and table for dining alfresco before heading up to bed. Three bedrooms, including a double, a small double and a twin, that provide all you need for some rest ahead of another busy day. Finishing off the interior, the shower room with walk-in shower, bathroom with rolled topped bath and handheld shower will help you to feel refreshed in no time. If you decide to venture out of your peaceful retreat, you’ll find plenty to do with Llangadfan only 2.1 miles away, which boasts Glyndwr's Way footpaths for those who enjoy a ramble and a vintage tearoom to provide that much needed break before heading off for some mountain biking in Dyfnant Forest or walk around Lake Vyrnwy, famous for its stunning scenery, bird watching, cycling trails and mountains. Why not take in some history too at medieval Powis Castle and gardens or one of the many museums and attractions for the whole family including the Centre for Alternative Technology situated at Machynlleth. The small, traditional village of Llangadfan in Powys is an excellent central location for exploring all of Mid Wales and beyond into Snowdonia and Shropshire. Llangadfan boasts Glyndwrs Way footpaths and the Foel Ramble, a 4 mile walk overlooking the hills of Montgomeryshire and also it is close to the Cambrian and Berwyn mountain ranges where there is wonderful scenery in all directions. The village also has a shop/vintage tea room, and the Cann Office Hotel has a bar, restaurant and gardens and was formerly Cae ’n Fos, a medieval fortified camp on a bend on the River Banwy. There is lovely walking in the nearby Dyfnant Forest, a remote 6000 acre forest on high ground which descends spectacularly down towards Lake Vyrnwy. The lake, with an 11 mile circumference, is a magnificent beauty spot which is famous throughout the UK for its scenic walks, cycle trails, and bird watching. The area is renowned for its green hills and mountains, castles such as medieval Powis Castle and gardens (National Trust), museums and the Montgomery Canal. Europe's leading eco-centre is situated at Machynlleth, the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) aims to "inspire, inform and enable people" to live more sustainably. This is a lovely part of Wales with something for everyone.

    The surrounding areas good for local walks one of that goes to the pub that serves food. Also, we visited some beautiful places too all within reasonable driving distance. We found the owners very informative, friendly and supportive people. We love to visit again in the future.

    Relaxing chilled out location complete with babbling brook and hot tub. Had the time and peace to read a book which is a rarety for me. All needs catered for including welcome gifts of wine and cake! Heaven
