This delightful semi-detached cottage is one of five properties in a courtyard setting in the centre of Bala town. Converted from a Grade II listed workhouse, 4 Bythynnod yr Aran is well-presented throughout and provides an idyllic bolthole for couples wanting to explore North Wales. Elegantly styled, the sense of character is emphasised throughout the sitting room, with a vaulted ceiling, exposed timber and gallery-style staircase. Settle down on the sumptuous corner sofa and tune into your favourite programmes, contemplating how best to spend the rest of your holiday. The kitchen comes well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, as well as a small dining area where leisurely breakfasts or evening suppers can be enjoyed. As the evening draws to a close, the galleried style super-king-size bedroom provides a lavish sleeping quarter, with a dressing table and walk-in wardrobe for storing your personal items. Outside this Bala cottage is a shared courtyard where you can explore the grounds of Old Workhouse. Stroll into the town centre and you can expect to find a great selection of pubs and restaurants if you fancy a night off cooking, whilst there are several indepentend shops and supermarkets handy for picking up any essentials. Bala Lake provides a number of watersports and fishing, or explore the area either on foot through the surrounding countryside or by taking a ride on the miniature steam railway. The cottage is also conveniently situated for visiting the renowned mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin, and further afield, why not fly to Blaenau Ffestiniog and ride the World Famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam train to the harbour town of Porthmadog, or visit Llechwedd slate caverns, which is now home to ZipWorld Titan, Europe's longest four-man zip wire, and Bounce Below, an exhilarating underground trampoline park. Couples will be spoilt for choice with the fabulous array of outdoor activities on offer in this area, then enjoy returning to the comfort of this lovely property at the end of a busy day. Ideal for touring all of North and Mid Wales, 4 Bythynnod yr Aran is a lovely getaway for two.
