Beautiful little cottage, private, secure, plenty of natural light.

We were there during a bitterly cold snap but the electric radiators took the chill off very quickly and then the wood burner took over and we were cosy throughout the cottage and throughout our stay. Facilities good enough but maybe time for some upgrading in the shower room. Water pressure good (and I have thick hair to wash) and heated towel rail great. Kitchen adequate, microwave a bit precious in that it'll do, say 4 minutes, then shut down for 5. We got the hang of it! Oven good but not a fan oven. Washing machine a very helpful addition. Freezer section of fridge iced up but so cold outside, it didn't matter. The only downsides were the bed which, in our opinion was verging towards uncomfortable, the quilt and pillows, we thought poor quality although good for laundering and the sofa seemed to push us both into the centre ... cosy I suppose! TV good, no streaming I don't think. A nice little table and chairs for eating etc. All well arranged and attractively set out within the space. Outside area good and parking good. Overall it was near perfect for a short break but glad to be in my own bed. Oh, and Mark is a fabulous host. Thank you Mark for your warm welcome.

We found the Barn to meet our needs perfectly.

It was a perfect size for a couple. Definitely spacious enough and the privacy in the garden with the hot tub was lovely. Our weather was great so we sat out for breakfast each morning. Angarrack is a lovely village and the Inn was a few minutes walk for drinks and food. The Barn was well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and well organised. Lovely bedding. Lou, the housekeeper left wine, milk and flowers for our arrival which were very much appreciated after our nine hour drive. Although we were there for family reasons, not a holiday, we would love to return again to relax, enjoy the hot tub, and all the surrounding areas. We did manage a walk along the cliffs at Godrevy Point which is a short distance from the property, but it’s very well placed to visit many more beautiful walks, beaches and towns in Cornwall.

We had an excellent week again Godrevy Barn.

For Sykes Holidays rather than the owners I would like to raise the following point. The time allowed into the property is 5pm and the requirement to vacate on the last day is 9am. This amounts to a whole day of the holiday. Prior to Covid and probably several years before it used to be 2-3pm in and 10am out. The times now in place were given to allow additional cleaning because of Covid which surely isn’t the issue now. My other point is, I have received numerous messages offering discounts for holidays, what a pity these cannot be applied to bookings already made. We have a booking in Godrevy Cottage for Christmas made earlier this year and will pay the going rate. A discount for loyalty?

We found the Barn very comfortable and with everything we could need.

It was larger than we expected. Lovely to have the hot tub in a secluded garden, and we used it every day. It would be good to have a light in the garden. Having logs for the fire was great too, as well as wine, milk, eggs, tea and coffee when we arrived and a vase of fresh flowers. We loved the decor and cottage -like touches, as it is a seaside rental this was lovely. The bed was so comfortable. We walked to the local pub for meals a couple of times, and used the little Cornwall book to find stunning places to visit. We loved our stay.

Flying Hooves was absolutely spotless. Very comfortable stay. Appreciated the dog towels in the basket! Little garden was great for the dog and the field at the end of the lane was good for a run. Cottage had everything we needed and loads of space to enjoy a fantastic week. Loved the electric recliners!! Well located to visit all of south west Cornwall. Owners were friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive. Recommend Loe Pool of you have a dog that likes swimming! Overall, a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
