What our customers say about their holidays

    • Gill - Verified booking

The property itself was well appointed, comfortable and clean.

The hosts were lovely and very helpful with an early issue discovered on entering the property. Pretty walks close by. However we did find that it was not as secluded as the pictures on your site would suggest as the owners door was right next to the bathroom window at the back. Also a large diesel tank was close to the front door of the holiday property which was rather pungent and meant the door could not be left open. Unfortunately it was not very peaceful either as they have four small dogs that barked around the property most of the day (I think this was led by the young spaniel). This put our 9 yr old rescue dog on edge as he just got barked at when he tried to approach them. Also with their entrance so close we could hear them coming and going with car doors slamming at all hours and the dogs barking whenever they had visitors coming or going.

We’ve had a lovely, relaxing few days exploring the Cotswolds from The Paddock.

Accommodation perfect for two. Bright and modern with all the essentials. A shame our commitments meant we couldn’t stay a little longer. Located on a working equestrian yard, as explained in the details, there was a little noise at times but nothing I would call unexpected or excessive. We were delighted to meet all four of the very friendly, small dogs who lived with the owners. Honington is a stunning village. We were so lucky our holiday coincided with the National Garden Scheme, Gardens Open for Charity; we had a wonderful afternoon exploring all of the 10 beautiful back gardens taking part. The local town had all the facilities we needed, only a short drive away, or a beautiful 1.5 mile walk over the fields.

Beautiful view, cosy and clean cottage.

Warm welcome after no answer to the door, but he is a busy farmer so was understandable. Really enjoyed the dawn chorus and peace and quiet.log burner was lovely and plenty of kindling and logs provided by owner. Comfy bed with crisp clean sheets, fabulous waterfall shower and good reliable WiFi. Nothing we did not like. If I was to nit pick them welcome milk and some basic essentials would have been nice, miles from the nearest shop and after a very long drive the ability to make a cuppa would be appreciated by people less organised than us (we had taken our own). And instructions on using the oven etc( we figured it out after some faffing as we don't cook on electric ast home. Otherwise perfect and will visit again

A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and a warm welcome on arrival from the owner.

Well equipped and plenty logs and kindling supplied for the woodburner which was fabulous. The bed was super comfy with crisp white linen and very warm and snug. Even though the cottage is on a working farm it is a very peaceful and relaxing location. The pub in the village at Clifford Chambers did a great carvery Sunday lunch but we preferred The Bell Inn at Welford for a couple of evening meals out. Plenty to do round and about or further afield. Bourton on the Water a favourite for us aswell as Stratford-upon-Avon itself and all things Shakespeare. The nearby garden centre made a great place for breakfast on our last day before our journey home. Overall an excellent cottage and on our "must return" list.

We had a lovely week in "The View" We have stayed in a lot of rental properties over many years and this has to be one of the best.

It was very comfortable and the attention to detail was excellent. The view over the small lake was lovely and the wood beyond was a lovely place for a peaceful walk with wild deer. The location is ideal for exploring the area Although we had the most rain ever recorded for the week it was easy to get to local places. We visited Black country museum - Birmingham. Coventry motor museum. Stratford upon Avon, Litchfield. Warwick and there are National trust properties within easy reach, and we did walks along the canals when we had drier weather. If I had to sum up in a few words it would be "Peacefull and Tranquill" We met the owners who were lovely and were there if needed but did not interfere. Thank You
