The bones of this flat are great and its location really couldn't be better, but it needs attention.
The sitting room and kitchen are absolutely fine, and the bathrooms do the job (though the en-suite shower leaks badly), but the bedrooms - particularly the master bedroom - are pretty disappointing. The double bed has the hardest mattress we've ever slept on; it was very uncomfortable to the point where one of us slept on the daybed in the second bedroom. The chest of drawers in the master bedroom is starting to fall apart (there was a piece hanging off the bottom) and it just all felt rather shabby. The wifi - which the paperwork in the flat described as something like "high quality" - doesn't stretch beyond the kitchen, so you've no hope of streaming anything in either bedroom; the irony of there being a Bluetooth-enabled mirror in the en-suite bathroom was not lost on us. Lastly, the noise from the flat above was almost intolerable at times. We were under the impression children weren't allowed in either flat, but there were children in the flat above us for the week we were there and the noise was difficult to deal with, particularly in the mornings and late at night. We were also very aware of our footsteps on the wooden floors and the impact on the flat below us. Knowing now that children are allowed in the top flat, that fact alone means we would not use Waters Edge again.

Property was in a lovely position and very clean.
We did find the bed very uncomfortable and as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis this was a problem. It may be because most of the cottages we rent no longer have a divan with a sprung mattress but wooden frames and deep mattresses. Every time one of us moved the other felt it and that spoilt our sleep. We could not open a window in either the lounge or bedroom as they had been painted over and so it was very stuffy especially at night. The kitchen cupboards were also an issue for someone who is only five feet. My six foot six husband had to open them every time I needed something as the handles were too high and they were too stiff. Overall it was a good property and I would recommend it but we are back to our Devon barn conversion next year as it is much more suitable for me.

Our week at Gadlys House replaced a month-long trip to India, which clearly, due to its red-listing, didnât happen.
We were extremely fortunate to enjoy amazing weather, with temperatures reflecting those we may have experienced in India but without the humidity! This property exceeded our expectations and we felt that photos did not do justice to the views enjoyed from nearly all apartment windows. Our views over Snowdonia, however, were probably enhanced by the clarity of light during the fabulous weather enjoyed. Appliances, including the Bluetoothed bathroom mirrors, were all very contemporary and particularly enjoyed by the 20 somethings in our party. The three bedrooms very well suited our party of three adults. I would thoroughly recommend this property and beautiful town. Beaumaris was fabulous and reminded me of a quieter version of St Ives, Cornwall.

We stayed at Above Deck the last week of August and overall had a super lovely stay.
Pros - Super clean, very comfortable, very well furnished, kitchen has everything you need (plus kitchen spray/foil - those little extras which is great!), great sized apartment overall, and the free ice cream for us all went down very well with the children! Cons - Parking was sometimes a pain, but there is the green/by the bowling green for overnight stays (and a plus was EV charging at the Leisure Centre which was handy for us). The main area for us was the noise⦠Sat (of Bank Holiday weekend) was very noisy from a pub who were playing very loud music/people shouting etc until very late, then general traffic noise but you are on the Main Street in Beaumaris and we do live in the countryside in a small village so it depends what your used to!

The apartment is outstanding, but the bathroom really lets it down which is a real shame.
The kitchen is beautiful, lovely bedrooms, clean with every amenity you could need. However, I have seen larger en suites than the bathroom at Above Deck. You have to shut the door to open the small shower cubicle and the small space was very impractical when trying to wash my 6 and 3 year olds. It is also situated on the opposite side of the apartment and on another level to the bedrooms, so in the middle of the night we had to go down the stairs and down the hallway to use the toilet. I had to carry my little girls all the way there in the night, which wasnât ideal. There was also a leak from the extractor fan in the kitchen after the rain one night. Everything was phenomenal, but the bathroom would stop us booking again Iâm afraid.
