What our customers say about their holidays

DAMP , HOLIDAY CUT SHORT , WET FlOORS ,NOT HAPPY, OWNERS AWARE.

I arrived at the old boat store with my partner and three young children, upon arriving the apartment is well presented and clean (freshly painted ) location is good THE BAD POINTS After our first night as the fresh paint smell began to wear off we could smell damp and my childrens pjs under there pillow where damp along witg the master bedroom floor and bottom Of the walls , the floor in my bedroom is soaking wet out clothes that had not been worn had to be washed as they all had a horrible smell , there is a manual dehumidifier tray under the bed that was full so the owners are fully aware that they have a damp issue , I actually have years experience In the buiding trade and this in my opinion is due to poor ventilation and possible the floors not being insulated or removed when the garages was converted and the windows not having vents in ? So unfortunately we had had to book a hotel for the next two nights and cut it short at the boat store , not very good at all especially with very young children who where not sleeping well and who are all full of cold now …………. Would defiantly never go back and please Be aware this is a genuinely honest and straight forward review and no one can expect someone to stay in a damp holiday home there’s no excuses it’s disgusting they need to address the problem which can be resolved with the correct builder and it definitely needs doing asap no good keep painting over the cracks

My brother (who lives in Pennsylvania) and I were returning to the locality where we were born and brought up in the 50s and 60s.

Both Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn have seen changes, most for the good but some not so. Morfa Nefyn and Ty Coch are very popular and the location is beautiful. Not sure that I would classify this pub as one of the best in the world, expensive and the food there is nothing special, but the setting compensates for all that. We were brought up in Nefyn and spent hours on the beach every day. To my brother and I Nefyn certainly has the best beach and we recommend a visit. My father owned a fishing boat and we would fish for lobster, crab, mackerel and cod during the summer and net for herring in the winter months. There are wonderful walks along the cliffs between the two villages. What was disappointing and somewhat distressing was to see the baptist chapel in Nefyn being left to go to ruin, uncared for and open to the elements. Whoever owns the site needs to pull the building down rather than leave it as it is. Our apartment in Morfa Nefyn was ideal and very comfortable, well equipped though we would have liked two sets of keys so that we had a bit more flexibility. We hope to return in the future.

Nice apartment and in a good location.

Parking in the summer season could be an issue as there is only 1 parking space per apartment and when the apartment sleeps 6 plus a dog most visitors I should imagine would have 2 cars. Also a second key would have been useful. The key safe by front door worn and difficult to access so once we managed to open it didn't use it again until we left. The beds were were made up with nice fresh linen, but the floors needed cleaning especially in the bathrooms. The doors are also really heavy fire doors throughout the apartment and have strong closures which caused a few problems with my less able father and nearly knocked him flying a few times, so extra care needs to be taken with anyone frail or with young children. If you are visiting with young children the enclosed area is more of a dog toilet than clean playing space. An allocated dog area would be helpful. But having said all that it makes a great base for a lovely beach / walking holiday weather permitting.

What a beautiful little holiday let in a superb location in a lovely village.

Situated within a couple of minutes walk of the beach and a pub and a 10 minute walk to the garage, which is also the village shop selling papers, fresh food etc, you couldn't really ask for more. The Ty Coch pub on the beach is only a lovely stroll away accessed along the beach or across the golf course and it is voted one of the best beach bars in the world. The boat store is fully equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. The garden at the side is a fantastic sun trap and again equipped with comfy furniture. At first booking we were slightly nervous that the property seemed to have the owners residence above and we thought you might be able to hear noise from above. How wrong were we, we never heard a sound. The property is either excellently sound insulated or no-one used the rooms above. I would definitely recommend this let to anyone wanting to stay in Morfa Nefyn. We had a beautiful week. Thanks.

We really enjoyed our stay at number 6.

The apartment was modern, clean and comfy. I like the seaside decor & pictures throughout. There were 2 large sofas with throws for extra comfort. Two fridges was a bonus, but note that neither have a freezer section. Kitchen well equipped, including a dishwasher & washing machine. Plenty of glasses, cups, plates & cutlery but could do with more cereal bowls. Bedrooms were really warm & cosy with plenty of storage. Bathroom with bath & excellent power shower. Bins in all rooms made it easy to keep the place tidy as well as 2 bins in the kitchen. We went for New Year and I was worried that the apartment wouldn’t be warm enough but it was lovely and warm and cosy. We have stayed in Morfa Nefyn lots of times and are very familiar with it. The apartment is in a great location for beach, golf, shop & pub. We would definitely go again.
