What our customers say about their holidays

    • Brian - Verified booking

Although we enjoyed our holiday in the apartment we were disappointed with certain aspects of the cleaning.

The fridge and microwave hadn’t been wiped out and cleaned properly. There was quite a lot of food presumably left by previous occupants in the cupboards which we had to move, throw some out as they were well out of date and clean the shelves ourselves so that we could make use of them. In our view the bathroom had had a superficial clean, the toothbrush holder was a disgrace and we didn’t use it. The plug in the basin was also pretty horrid! The shower itself needed a ‘deep’ clean!!! We were a little taken aback to find these ‘problems’ with the cleaning as the previous reviews for the property had made mention of the cleanliness and we would have thought that with the present Covid 19 pandemic where the emphasis is on cleanliness amongst other things we were not anticipating any problems in this direction. We have stayed in a number of Sykes properties throughout the UK and have never found it necessary to make any derogatory comments before! It’s up to your company whether you publish our feedback.

September 2024 The place was very clean, nicely decorated and furnished and it was a pleasure to return each evening.

The place was very well equipped except for the bathroom. The towels were bath towels which only just went round a size 10-12 body. Also the towels did not dry from one day to the next, damp still on second day. I had to buy a cheap bath sheet for comfort and to give given towels a chance to dry. We had the electric fire on each evening to dry the towels and provide some off set for the colder bedrooms. There was condensation on the bedroom windows in the morning. The instructions for the central heating were available but we were unable to get the CH running and it seemed a waste of energy in September. The laundrette at the local garage was the recommendation for drying washed clothes - not at all suitable for everyday damp towels. Next visit I would take a portable dryer and heater.

Myself and my wife enjoyed our little break in Morfa Nefyn.

We found we really appreciated the little touches. We arrived and it was clean mith fresh milk, bread and biscuits left for us on our arrival. We weren't expecting that. It was super spacious with a comfy corner sofa and a lovely modern bathroom with a rain type shower. We ordered takeout most of our stay so didn't use the kitchen much but it was perfect for us. The location was a good base for trips out and the beach at morfa nefyn was ideal for dog walks in morning and evening. We would definitely return. Also for anyone concerned about the "first come first serve" parking In the description. We found it to be ample and there was always 1 or 2 spaces. Thank you

We had a week here at New Year and the location was excellent.

The owners had put some Christmas decorations in the apartment and had also left us a Party pack of hats and blowers for New Year's Eve plus some prosecco - a lovely gesture. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well presented, being furnished to a high standard. We did lots of walking on the coastal path and had a few visits to the Ty Coch pub on the beach one of them being on New Year's Eve. We were lucky enough to see a Scottish Piper playing the bagpipes down on the beach on New Year's day - brilliant. All in all a great week and we would love to come back in the summer season and to stay in the same accommodation if possible.

We needed 3 key things when we selected this apartment, ground floor bedroom for mum with mobility issues, dog friendly and at theist 2 double beds with 3 bedrooms.

In addition we got a welcoming living space which allowed us to share time together. Loved the beach theme throughout and the lovely garden behind. When I’m the apartment you were hardly aware that you were in a complex with other people, there was no noise at all. The location is superb, the beach was accessible with an electric buggy and only a few minutes away. There are a variety of walks for dogs in the village and it is obvious that most owners act responsibly using the convenient waste bins. We were lucky with the weather but this would have been a lovely place to stay no matter what.
