      Just got back from a weeks holiday in Beer .

      We stayed at apartment 1. Durham house . We walked into a warm and welcoming place. Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay . Right in the heart of the village. The village shop and bus stop across the road . Other facilities, bars, restaurant's chip shop , and shops in a short walking distance. The beach is also nearby, it’s a pebble beach, lots of things to keep you busy. We took the coastal path to Seaton which is quite a hike but if mobile it’s a good walk. We also took the bus to Sidmouth and drove to Lime Regis . . We took our dog with us and everyone in Beer was dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit and stay in the comfort of your own apartment.

      A lovely spacious apartment in an excellent location at the top of Fore Street in Beer.

      We really felt part of the village. What a great space for two people! We loved the large kitchen diner and the way the flat flowed through the bedroom to the bathroom at the back. We had everything we needed for our three night stay. The parking permit was a very welcome benefit which was kindly included in our rental. The outdoor space was a plus and we sat in the sun a couple of times. The only thing we didn’t appreciate were the very dated heart ornaments everywhere and the ‘love, laugh, live’ signs - even painted on the wall!

      The Treasure Chest is a converted shop. This gives it the advantage of being right in the centre of the town. The conversion is to a high standard. When in the lounge area there is noise from people and cars passing by, but the bedroom is quiet at night, apart from the sound of the seagulls in the morning. The property is perfect for a couple - we brought our dog along and he was very settled. Everything is within reach, including the beach and coastal walks to nearby towns. Highly recommend.

      Great place to stay, well equipped, clean and tidy. Great walks to Branscombe Lyme Regis (about 10 miles) Honiton seems a bit run down but Budleigh Salterton seems to have picked up. Had a great meal at the Masons Arms, Branscombe and an excellent cream tea at The Old Teahouse in Branscombe and can park for a donation at the village hall. A suggestion for the flat would be hanging door hooks in the bedroom & bathroom, but its not that important!. Ate at the Ducky's it was just OK

      We had a wonderful week based at The Treasure Chest in Beer. The location was perfect and the addition of the parking pass was much appreciated. We enjoyed sampling the local fare , especially at The Dolphin, and with Woozies Deli so close we were able to choose from a good variety of different foods. The chimes from the clock and the sound of the stream made it a very peaceful location. We would certainly have no hesitation to come back again.
