What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Liz Johnson - Verified booking

We very much enjoyed our stay at 3 Starboard. It was clean, warm, well-appointed and the location was excellent for our purposes. On a practical note we had to go out and buy jcloths; washing up brush and dishwasher tablets. It was not until the end of our stay when we were looking for the pIastic bags for the dirty linen that we found a small black sealed box without label under the sink with these items in it. It would have been helpful to have the black box clearly marked and signalled in the information folder. For winter guests, blinds on the back door and a rug would be desirable extras.

Amazing cottage which we have stayed in numerous times over the years. It's played a huge part over the years to relocate to Holt Norfolk from Nantwich in Cheshire. This final stay in the cottage for a couple of nights as we completed on our house purchase was very special due to the cottage being such a special part of the journey over the years. The cottage is ideally located, furnished and gives you more than you need for a holiday of any length. Anyone visiting North Norfolk should use this cottage as the perfect base for enjoying such a lovely dreamy little market town so close to the coast.

Great location, very quiet area, plenty of places to eat around the town. Welcome pack at the property was great. The standard of the property was high and you could just arrive with your personal things and start enjoying your holiday. Great idea to include a disposable bbq and a special table to place it on. Lovely courtyard to eat outside. Recommend getting a booklet and walking the owl trail as it tells you interesting facts about the town of Holt.Great to see so many independent shops in a town. Very clean and no litter about. Great Sunday market in the summer months.

We had a lovely week in Holt, and certainly wish to return to 3 Starboard at some time in the future. Just two negatives: we would have appreciated more detailed instructions on how to operate the central heating, as we are not familiar with Hive. (We are now!) Secondly, we feel that the bin store is a problem: although the car parked by the doors left plenty of room to open the doors, this didn't leave enough room for the bin men to collect the rubbish which was piling up and getting rather smelly.

Overall we found the cottage just right for the 2 of us. Ideal location for walking and bird watching. However, on arrival we found the cottage very cold indeed , no heating on which surprised us as the weather this last week has been very cold indeed. We did sort this out and the heating responded well. The shower room remained cold and felt damp. But the shower was excellent and hot water abundant. Thank you
