What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Clare Clark - Verified booking

The apartment at Skipjack was an amazing place to stay. It had everything you needed from washing machines, microwave, fridge, freezer, etc, enough things to be able to cook proper meals including even having tin foil and sauce. There was washing up liquid, loo roll, kitchen roll, sponge and towels. All you needed was a tea towel. There was not a shower, but a lovely corner bath, we made use of having the pool to ourselves every night and used the showers there, got into our pjs upstairs, poured a drink and listened to the radio/hi-fi after our busy day enjoying the Norfolk coast and surrounding areas. The garden was pretty and we enjoyed the bubbles of the hot tub, there was also a BBQ, table and chairs to chill by the pond. The little things like the milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left for our arrival was really appreciated and the picnic backpack you could use was a great idea, the clothes dryer you could put in the garden to dry your swim things or there was even a washer/dryer. We had no problems with the internet or anything with the apartment. An excellent base to see the Norfolk coast, go on a boat to see the seals at Blakeney point, visit Cromer, afternoon tea at Horsey in Poppylands and a walk along the beach (more seals) and a visit to the windpump. So much to see and visit we will need to come back

Light, cosy, peaceful and beautifully located. Orchard Cottage is a charming place in an absolutely excellent location. Cosy, very well equipped and very comfortably furnished with a lovely little strip of garden, we found this to be exactly the peaceful retreat we were looking for.Inside, it's light, airy and spacious. Outside it's just at the top of the lovely village of Ringstead, which has a great pub and a very well stocked local store just a short walk away so unlike some places you're not completely bound drive everywhere. Ringstead also has a lovely walk around it taking in the beautiful Ringstead Downs and chalk pit.Hunstanton is only a short drive away, as are the excellent Thornham Deli and Drove Orchards farm shop. Beautiful beaches at Holme, Hunstanton and Titchwell are all within about 10 minutes by car and there are plenty of other beautiful places less than 30 minutes away along the coast.Honestly there's really nothing to fault this place for - I particularly loved the kitchen, which is very well equipped with a great fan oven, and the delightful little dining room facing out into the garden where we ate all our meals. Definitely hope we'll come again soon!

Delightfully refurbished cottage - to a very high spec - in a great near-coastal Norfolk village. Ringstead is a lovely North Norfolk village, and this cottage is well situated for the local very good gastropub/gin palace (!) and extensive, quirky and well-stocked local shop. The furnishings are to a very high spec - but not off-putting, so that you fear to tread for fearing of damaging things! It is very comfortable and well stocked with kitchen equipment and goods, as well as high quality TV/wi-fi/radio/DVD player etc. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom a delight. The property's very thick walls are great sound barriers and heat retainers. The cottage is very dog friendly and is within very short distances of fantastic beaches for dogs at Old Hunstanton and Holkham. All in all, a lovely short stay in a delightful, well furnished and greatly positioned, renovated farm cottage on the North Norfolk coast.

I absolutely couldn't recommend this property more! Myself and my husband where honestly so impressed with our stay. There is everything you could possibly need provided at this property even dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets for the clothes washer. The lovely little tray including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even biscuits made us feel really spoilt. The area is simply beautiful and the nearby seaside towns and villages are lovely for a little trip out with lovely local pubs sit some delicious food. The owners are right on hand with contact details provided if you need anything at all and are lovely and polite. What can I say about the pool. It is such a treat to be able to exclusively use it every morning and evening and the hot tub in the garden is a lovely treat as-well. You will not be disappointed if you come to stay here. We already have made plans to come back.

A Little Gem!We stayed at Orchard Cottage for 3 days and wished it was for longer! The cottage is beautiful! The décor and furnishings are incredible. The attention to detail is second to none. You feel at home as soon as you walk through the front door, and the cottage is so cosy when the log burning fire is on. The local pub, The Gin Trap Inn is a 10 minute walk away and serves great food and yummy gin. I did try and book Orchard Cottage for my birthday weekend next year, however at that time of year it is a minimum of 7 nights stay as it is half term which is understandable. You will be hard pushed to find somewhere else with the high level of décor and furnishings............I have looked and cannot find anything better as yet! :0)
