What our customers say about their holidays

    • Anne - Verified booking

Had a nice stay with my dog but it's a studio not a one bed apartment.

Not much room between bed and table so have lovely bruises on my thigh thanks to the bedpost corner. Flooded the bathroom as no instructions left as to which tap worked which shower head. Could have done with an eye mask as the overhead light was on from dusk till dawn and the blinds aren't blackout ones. Read other reviews and took a digital indoor aerial with me which I stuck to the window. TV worked as normal after retuning to aerial setting otherwise you have to sign in to each app. The instructions were there for the TV but they didn't work as previous occupants had attached It to a laptop and not reset it. It was well equipped and short walk to shops and bus station and across the road from The Spa. Sam the caretaker was lovely. She sorted the problem I had with the central heating but then it had problems again. Only there 4 nights and it was warm anyway so didn't bother her again. Wouldn't stay again though.

      Sweet and beautiful little cottage.

Met by Georgina, the lovely owner and given a very warm welcome. Georgina showed us around the cottage and explained how to use the appliances etc. The surprise was the accommodation is incorporated into and above a sweet little vintage shop which remains closed whilst guests are staying and so we were allowed to use the large table and dining chairs in the shop, this is also where the kitchenette is situated. The cottage is really clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated, warm and secure. The one and only downside is there are only two wooden dining chairs upstairs with which to relax on other than stretching out on the bed (which is very comfortable). Georgina left us a Welcome pack along with a large bowl of fruit and a cake. She also gave us a very generous gift. I highly recommend this cosy, delightful little cottage and the friendliness and generosity of the owner, Georgina.

The property is a high standard with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

Very clean and fresh. Being a studio it is a little cramped for everything that is in there. Check in was very simple and easy to access. Parking is a bit difficult as it is resident permits only during the day. It is just across a quiet road to the promenade and beach so you can sit at the outside table watching the sunrise over the sea - magical. The tv took me some time to work out as you have to stream it from your phone or laptop - I would suggest bringing a firestick if you have one. Would be good if there was a freeview aerial! Special mention to caretaker Karen who is a star! Very helpful and knows the good places to eat. Would recommend Frankies and if we visit Bridlington again will definitely be staying here.

Can only give 4's to some questions as we were disappointed that a 4* apartment did not have wi-fi and that the television was the smallest possible size without being classed as a tablet! This felt a little mean spirited. The kitchen equipment was the minimum amount that was acceptable. There was no sieve or colander for straining rice or vegetables, only one small glass chopping board, two place mats and two coasters in the whole apartment. Putting hot serving dishes on the glass table was a problem as we did not want to scratch or crack the table!

Hideaway is quite unique, quirky, and wonderful, as is the owner.

A warm welcome Georgina met us on arrival, and explained the layout. Everything is near, shops, cafes “also unusual “ , and a park. Easy to unload the car outside then use the car park practically next door. ‘You have to pay, yet it’s cheap’ . I go away to study and this place facilitated influence. I would study on an evening down stairs in the shop which was I interesting. Clean comfortable bed, cosy atmosphere in the home. If your looking to have an unusual adventure, the hideaway offers such an experience. Will return.
