What our customers say about their holidays

    • Peter - Verified booking

Lovely property, great location, convenient parking.

Very clean, and being dog friendly our beloved Spaniel Poppy could enjoy the holiday too, with some magnificent walks to be had around Hay right from the door. A bottle of wine , some milk and chocolate biscuits awaited us which was a thoughtful touch from the owner. We gave already decided we shall return for another visit. One very minor nit-pick - there were no dishwasher tablets so we couldn't use the dishwasher, but overall the property is excellent and we had a lovely holiday in it.

A spacious, well appointed house in the heart of Hay-on-Wye with a high quality finish.

It had all that we needed for a wonderful stay, very dog friendly with lots of considerate touches. Space for 2 average size vehicles at the rear. The Black Lion pub is immediately opposite (great food) and only a 2-3 minute walk to the town centre shops, pubs, restaurants. The host was a great communicator and very helpful. A super place to stay, we will be returning.

The cottage is stunning and has been finished to an excellent standard throughout.

It's just a one or two minute walk to the shops and castle and the single parking space behind the cottage is ample for an average sized car. The smaller of the en-suites may be a bit of a squeeze for a generously proportioned individual. We think the tariff we paid (August 2024) was excellent value. Highly recommended.

A spacious and comfortable cottage, all very well presented!

Great to have the car parking space with this cottage - a bonus in this small town. We enjoyed our first visit to ‘Hay’, with the shops and Castle, an easy walk from the cottage - hope to visit again! Many thanks to the owners. Alan and Gill.

The only down side to this property was the access for parking.

With a large car the one way street is very narrow. The property itself however is very well presented, clean and comfortable. A vase of fresh flowers was a lovely welcoming touch. My aunt and I felt at home here. We would definitely stay again.
