Rhydlandgoed is a lovely cottage attached to the main house.
It is very comfortable and nicely furnished and with little oddments (ornaments, pictures) scattered around to make it feel homely rather than an anonymous rented space. Everything we needed was provided - logs for the woodburner, towels, bedding, crockery, cooking utensils, hair drier etc..We really enjoyed it. The owners were very welcoming and looked after us without being in any way intrusive. When we had a power cut they quickly brought over lanterns so that we weren't completely in the dark (it only lasted about 10 minutes). The main house has beautiful gardens, which you are free to make use of, and it is all set amidst the National Trust Colby Woodland Garden. So quite isolated. It's a 20 minute walk down a woodland track into Amroth village, where there are three pubs and a couple of shops. It is probably possible to drive down but we preferred not to. Make sure to take a torch for dark nights! Amroth itself has an expansive beach and is well placed for exploring. You can walk to Saundersfoot along the beach at low tide, although some rock clambering is involved if you don't want to get wet feet. Tenby, Narbeth, Laugharne and Stackpole are all a short drive away, with St. Davids being about an hour. Very enjoyable and recommended.

Host was very welcoming, it is rare these days to get an in person greeting to hand over the key! The lemon cake was a welcome treat and delicious. Thank you. Some poetic license taken in the listing, the 'sun room' is a small lean to connecting the back door to the downstairs toilet! Decor is very dated, some evidence of fresh painting but other areas could benefit from a refresh. If you are looking for a boutique experience this is not for you! But the beds and pillows were very comfortable, lots of towels provided, nice hot shower and all the expected facilities e.g. dishwasher etc. Could benefit from a few upgrades e.g. more plugs, bigger fridge, new cooker (grill not the best), a smart TV, but all still usable. Restrictions to parking in front of house during the week but there is nearby off road parking affiliated to the house. Is on the main street/one way system but we didn't notice the noise/traffic when in doors. Some smashing shops in Narberth, house is a very short walk to the shops, highly recommend you try the pastries from the Rock 'n Dough bakery, and pies from Andrew Rees & Sons butchers. A lovely cafe 'Stopio' just a short walk away does some super breakfasts and cake.

The Dingle is a spacious and well appointed bungalow set in a very quiet peaceful position.
The road down to the beach and pub is a fairly steep walk but there are alternative footpaths through fields and woods to the shore. The garden is mature and very well planted, the area beyond the excellent child/dog proof fence, is gradually and charmingly "rewilding" and worth exploring. The bungalow is well appointed and beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. The open plan kitchen is excellent for preparing sociable meals. We used both the BBQ and the permanent pizza oven which was fun and relatively easy, so come prepared with pizza flour and ingredients and have a go. The access to the front door has steep steps but access to the rear is by a narrow decked sloping path. Parking three cars at the front was easy. From the Dingle it is a pleasant and short walk to the excellent long sandy beach at Amroth; walking to Saundersfoot is easy along the shore path but remember there is the climb back up to The Dingle. It is a great place for a multi-generational family holiday.

The property was fantastic.
Very spacious with a wonderful, modern kitchen, and fully equipped with every facility you could possibly want. All the beds are fitted with high quality memory foam mattresses and I would say it is probably one the of the most comfortable sleeps we have had in a cottage or hotel. The large enclosed garden was perfect for our two small dogs although if you have a very small dog (e.g. Chihuahua) you will probably want to keep a close eye on the raised decking as there are gaps in the banisters of 4 to 5 inches which one of our dogs managed to squeeze through at one point. The decking is entirely enclosed so you can just not let your dog out onto it. As an aside, we can thoroughly recommend Seven Spice, the excellent local Indian restaurant/take away in Kilgetty. Order your food an hour to two hours before you want to eat though⦠it is rightly very popular and demand for their food is high. We can thoroughly recommend the Dingle

The cottage was a pure joy to stay in.
Our hosts Carolyn and Tony were welcoming on arrival and gave us a tour and history of the property. The cottage is set in the most beautiful setting and at this time of year the rhododendrons and azaleas were stunning. It is bright and spacious with comfortable beds and tastefully furnished, very homely. You can also visit tea room next door which serves delicious cakes. There is just a 15 minute walk through the grounds to the small seaside village of Amroth with a welcoming pub which serves very nice food. We walked with our dogs to the next seaside town of Saundersfoot via the Pembrokeshire Coastal path, there are very steep steps at first to climb but the views at the top are well worth it. If the tide is out then you can walk on the beach. Tenby is a short drive away and Barafundle beach and Bosherston lakes are a must visit. It is a piece of paradise, quite and tranquil.
