We stayed in Farrier cottage during a heatwave it was hot no rain all week, the cottage is well presented and has large spacious rooms, the kitchen has large glass windows with no covers and this made it uncomfortable for eating whilst it was so hot, but I guess that's personal choice, the lounge was comfortable though sofas a little worn on the cushion seating, plenty of board games available, the downstairs bedroom is spacious and has a step down in to it which was hard to spot for my dad who was using this room, I have suggested it be marked to help elderly or unsteady , the downstairs ensuite was a good size, there is a nice little study room too, the downstairs laundry room is handy and the extra toilet/shower as well, the stairs are tricky and we found them a challenge, i think small children going up and down would scare me a bit, you need to be steady on your feet, the two upstairs bedrooms are a good size and the shower room is large , we had a problem with shower draining but was seen to within hours, the garden has a lovely large area of grass perfect for playing on, the cottage was joined to another property but we had no issues with neighbours only the sheep which escaped into the garden, lovely quiet location and we had a lovely time in Norfolk, overall it is a beautiful cottage.

We enjoyed a week in your delightful cottage, thank you. On arrival we found a really home from home. - the provisions, wine + wild flowers were much appreciated too. We spent our time re-visiting old family memories (husbands family came: from Hunstanton & Heacham) as well as exploring the local area. • Sunday Lunch at The Nelson Inn, Burnham - highly recommended! • Holt was perfect for our retail therapy - with many independent shops & cafes/eateries. • Burnham Market had a more relaxed (but sill definitely up-market) feel - there was one store that was like an Aladdin’s cave - room after room of toys/gifts/hats + women’s wear! • The shrine at Walsingham is well worth a visit - so calm a tranquil. The town centre in Fakenham is somewhat jaded (like many towns - retail outlets closed in favour of out-of-town shops) - but there are three supermarkets, an excellent department store (Aldiss) - with a large dog welcoming cafe, a great Garden Centre + Langham Glass factory is worth a visit. We wondered whether the cottage might be a little too remote but, in actual fact, it was well placed for easy driving access to the local area + coast. Lovely relaxed stay in your cottage - we will certainly recommend Peony Cottage to others.

We've thoroughly enjoyed exploring North Norfolk and Peony Cottage has been an excellent base. Unfortunately the weather hasn't been conducive to spending the week on the beach but it's been lovely to mooch around Wells, Cromer and surrounds. Found a very pleasant open air cafe at Wiveton Hall and a delicious meal at Hot Rocks in Cromer. The SeaLife centre at Hunstanton was a hit, as were the rock pools at the far end of the beach by the cliffs. We can also recommend Dinosaur Land for the chlldren (about half an hour drive). Langham Glass experience was interesting as was making our own tealight holders. The cottage has been very comfortable and there's nothing like a lovely warm fire on a cold wet August evening. Thanks to Tim and Carol for a lovely stay.

Overall this is a lovely cottage which is spacious, light and airy and soft furnishings very comfortable. The garden is great for children and dogs. The rural area is peaceful and there is great walking from the doorstep. Including blankets in the lounge was really thoughtful and there was a range of games - though not really inclusive for younger children. The wifi was really good throughout our stay - with 2 iPads and 3 laptops in regular use. However - full detailed information being provided beforehand would be helpful - especially in terms of supportive disposables (toilet paper, washing up liquid etc) and a greater range of kitchen equipment would support those bookings which have the maximum amount of people and cater for young children.

Peony Cottage exceeded all our expectations. The cottage was perfect for us, beautifully decorated interior and quality, comfortable furnishings. Very well equipped kitchen. The cottage was immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The surrounding area is beautiful, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind to us so we didn’t do quite as much as we hoped. However Peony Cottage was a real home from home and a lovely place to chill in. The location of the cottage is very peaceful. Our only issue was eating out in the evening as apart from The Crown, at East Rudham, other good options were a at least 20-35 minutes away. We will definitely recommend Peony Cottage to our friends and very much hope to stay there again.
