What our customers say about their holidays

    • Hilda - Verified booking

      We loved Beachway.

It was perfect for us, in it's layout, facilities, immaculate presentation and its position near to the dunes and beach, along with the local shops, which were more than adequate for our stay. Being three sisters, two retired and one almost (!) we were able to enjoy the privacy of a beautiful bedroom each and the large kitchen diner and lounge. Our oldest sister had the twin room which was great for her with the higher beds and proximity to the adjacent shower room without a step made things easier for her. The kitchen and lounge nearby, both had a step down into them but she was able to negotiate them without too much trouble. The kitchen had everything you could want. It was great to be able to put the dishwasher on whilst on holiday instead of doing a lot of washing up (we stayed in quite a bit and did a lot of catching up). Veronica, the owner, was a lovely lady who couldn't be more helpful. I brought my dogs, one of whom is quite old and struggling with her legs. Upon arrival, she splayed when trying to walk on the laminate floor so Veronica brought us a huge throw to put on the floor for her, which was so good of her. Both dogs curled up on it in the lounge when we were in. The proximity to the beach and dunes via the coastal path was great for walking them too. The nearby bakery was great for all sorts of goodies and the chippy a bit further away, near to the Post Office and general store came in very handy on the evening of our arrival. Prestatyn is only 4 miles away with bigger shops and Rhyl is only 7 miles away but, for a relaxing break with masses of excellent dogs walks on hand, you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. See you next year Veronica

This is a loverly cottage in a great rural location with the added bonus of an enclosed garden for our dog to sit out and enjoy.

The property is only a quick drive away from the main town for all your shopping needs and close to the main highways so you don’t have to travel that far to get going when you want venture out and about. There are also some lovely walks you can take straight from your doorstep which was very handy. We had a couple of minor gripes - the water pressure in the main bathroom was not the greatest and some work is required in regard to the wash basin taps as they were loose and moved when you turned them on and off. The other main issue was the WiFi, it was very good in the kitchen, and in the up stairs bedroom (directly above the kitchen) but awful on the other side of the house where the main front room and TV is located. I would recommend to the owner to install some WiFi boosters around the house as this would definitely help. Overall though our stay was great and we would definitely stay again in the future.

The house was lovely, very clean and well equipped.

It was a fantastic size and suited myself, mum and 4 year old perfectly. The garden was a nice size and secure for our two miniature dachshunds. When we first entered the house you could tell the heating had been on, it was lovely and warm and really hit you. The heating didn't come back on though, we tried to override it as per the instructions but nothing worked. It did get a bit cool in the evenings but there was 2 plug in heaters that kept us warm. Some clearer instructions on how to reach the house would be great, my sat nav sent me up a residential street which then went into a very narrow and steep lane before announcing we'd reached our destination. However, the owner was a phone call away and once we'd be guided onto the correct road, the house is very easy to find! All in all, a lovely stay, we was very lucky with the weather and spent our few days in October on the beach!! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our time here.

. the host was amazingly helpful. The property was clean and beautiful, plenty of space too and had a well enclosed garden for our pooch. It was fairly equipped with the basics and also had a guy come round every morning around 7am to do the maintenance of the hot tub. However we did have a couple points for us such as the beds were way too hard, just could not get comfortable. And there was food left in one of the cupboards and in the freezer. It wouldn't stop us from coming again ( if mattresses were a little softer) as it is a lovely place and everything is so convenient and easy to get too, the beach was stunning and literally a 5 minute walk. Would advise bringing cash as some shops don't accept card or there is a limit ie £4. So yes great place to come and relax.

The cottage was lovely and clean with everything you may need.

Beds and furniture really comfortable, lots of space for storage. The owners were really nice and helpful, they live next door and welcomed us with a freshly baked cake, which was delicious. The cottage is very dog friendly, the garden is enclosed, so our little dogs could roam around safely. The area is quiet, and only a 5 min walk to the beach and all shops etc. There is a car park right in the centre too, charging £5 for all day. There is a chippy, bakery, ice cream shop, 2 pubs, arcades and 2 huge gift shops. There is a large Tesco about a10min drive away, also Prestatyn and Rhyl are not that far away to visit too. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others; we really enjoyed our break away and will be booking again in the future.
