    • Mr Aaron Neul - Verified booking

Virginia cottage was just beautiful. A real home from home. If you like period properties with beams etc then this is the one for you. We had everything we needed to make the week enjoyable with the added bonus of the hot tub in the garden and a secure garden for the dogs. The log fire was set ready to light when we arrived and heating already on so the cottage was lovely and warm on arrival which was a bonus as the weather was awful . Secure parking to the rear of the garden or on the road in front if required. It was in a great location 100yds from the main shops and some lovely walks and on the main road should you wish to travel further a field. All in all a lovely week and a great host. Thank you.

The property location was very good and on the whole was good but there are a few things which could be improved such as:- 1. the quality of the double bed is not good as it is made up of two different beds and they are not at the same level nor does one of the beds have a head board. 2. There are no directions on the website to tell you how to find the dedicated parking spot at the rear of the property. 3. There is a DVD player but you are not made aware that there are no DVD's until you arrive at the property. 4. The property information pack in the cottage is out of date as the location given for the guy who looks after the hot tub is out of date.

Lovely original cottage with excellent facilities. Situated in a picturesque village and the local pub serving wonderful meals was only a short walk away. Everything you needed was in the cottage and it was very warm and cosy even at the coldest time of the year! Also the beds were extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage as a holiday base in which to explore north Yorkshire.

Lovely cottage, spacious with great garden. very well equipped. Village is lovely and convenient for moors, historical attractions, coast. Great place. Would get excellent rating instead of very good if had better garden furniture and the main bathroom needs a shower curtain over the bath.
