What our customers say about their holidays

      This was a fabulous find!

The property (The Byre) was gorgeous, incredibly comfortable and very spacious; the owners had thought of everything. This is, by far, one of the best places we have ever stayed. The garden was perfect for my German Shepherd and the place was situated within reach of so many lovely places to go, particularly with a dog. In particular, we loved Dunraven Castle and Beach. The Farmers Arms (Turkish Mezze) served amazing food - we just wished we had visited it earlier in our holiday so we could have gone back and tried other things on the menu. It was lovely to meet Emma; she and her husband David are an inspiration and have created a wonderful space! Oh - and you have to stop by the Kune Kune piggies, they are bundles of fun (although they are fast becoming "teenagers")!!! Thank you so much for having us.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Byre and definitely won't be the last.

The whole experience is so comfortable and peaceful with everything you could wish for within reach. The piggies have grown a bit but then they are a year older! They still came running towards us with squeals of glee which sets the day off with a big smile. The people on the farm are really friendly, nothing is too much trouble, it's such a pleasure to stay here. Perfect for Sasha, my German Shepherd, lots of interesting and fun walks and beaches to visit. If the weather prohibits beach visits, the large garden and farm tracks are so handy. We highly recommend The Farmers Arms. Amazing Sunday roast with a special bowl of lamb, beef and turkey for Sasha which was a huge winner for both her and me! Thank you so much for having us.

Perfect location and an amazing garden for our dog.

Beautiful coastal walk right on our door step. Clean and spacious and modern for easy cleaning after muddy walks. Hot tub was perfect. It does clearly state that the property is on a working farm and there were a few times our German Shepherd wasn’t sure about the tractors driving past the garden or the security lights coming on (sorry about the barking) this however did not take away from the fact that the garden is huge and the whole experience at this wonderful property was amazing. We’ve had the best time, we didn’t want to leave and 100% recommend

      A super cottage!

Everything we needed! Emma and David have created a lovely set of 3 cottages on their working farm that would be ideal for an extended-family break/holiday! For keen walkers the cottages are a very short walk from the South Wales coastal path, a short walk/drive to lots of beautiful villages/resorts and ideally situated near Bridgend - half-way between Cardiff and Swansea. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and 1 week just wasn't enough to visit all the places we wanted to see - we will need to visit again! Looking forward to it! :)

Amazing property, very well equipped and comfortable.

Each room has been well thought out and there is everything available you could need from toddler cutlery to a hoover. The garden was a fantastic size and fully enclosed for our dog, and we enjoyed a soak in the hottub after a long walk. We loved visiting the pigs and ducks everyday. The owners couldn't do enough to help and came round came round straight away when we had a small issue and resolved it for us. Overall we had a lovely stay at The Byre and will hopefully return in the near future.
