What our customers say about their holidays

    • Michele - Verified booking

We were warmly greeted by our lovely hosts Ron and Glen even though it was quite late when we arrived.

They live next door and looked out for us arriving. We were given a tour of the 4 bedroomed property which was very clean, spacious and warm and didn't take us long to settle in. The garden was perfect for our 2 dogs and well secured. Only one improvement I'd recommend is in the single room next to the living room which would probably be better suited with a small double bed as ample room for one. It was the perfect base for us, we walked to the Menai Bridge, visited Bangor Pier and the stunning Aber falls, popped over to Llandwyn in Angelsey and walked to the lighthouse, visited Llandudno's Pier and shopping centre which is huge. The weather on the whole was great. Lots of pubs and restaurants are dog friendly and even bring a bowl of water over for them. We visited the Bridge Inn, Antelope Inn, The Castle, Tap and Spile (but now got a new name) with a chippy attached, the cafe on Bangor Pier and The Skerries. We would highly recommend this lovely house and great for visiting the many nearby attractions. Thank you for having us.

Had a great stay here over New Year with 3 couples, kids and a dog.

Loved the location, no one around, very still and peaceful. Close to Red Wharf and Newborough Forest. The house was fantastic and exceeded my expectations as the pictures do not do it justice, everything was finished to a high standard. Communication with the owners was fantastic and answered questions very quickly and even invited us to view the milking process for the kids at their farm. Best Hot tub I have ever been in, didn't seem to go below 39 degrees! My only criticism is that the description says "1 x double, 1 x twin". It is actually 2 twins not 1 double and 1 twin. I would just like that to be cleared up as it did make for an uncomfortable conversation on who was going in which room. To be fair though the pictures do show 2 twin rooms so just needs some consistency. I would also advise (seek permission first) taking a baby gate if you have toddlers, we had to keep doors closed constantly so made it hard for them to move around the house.

      Beautiful cottage, so peaceful.

We stayed in the falconers cottage. It wad clean and tidy. Will met us on arrival. What a lovely friendly man. He made sure we had everything we wanted, he explained the buttons for the water and heating, although i dont think it dropped below 25 degrees all week and asked us mid week if there were any issues or concerns. We sat down by the pond and watched the dragon flies, morehen and there were a couple herons after the chick's.lots of little birds too. At back of cottage was a sheep field. We even saw the RAF planes fly over. The cottage had all the equipment you needed and Instrsutions on how to use TV with freesat, cooker dishwasher. One tiny little niggle, as this is only personal preference and not a fault with cottage at all, is a TV that you can use Netflix or amazon prime or a dvd player avaliable but that's because I'm use to it at home. Wonderful cottage and will certainly book again and recommend 100%.

We had a fabulous week at Ty Mawr.

We were 2 families holidaying together made us of 4 adults and 4 children aged 5-11. The house is extremely comfortable, the beds and bedding are lovely and the fixtures and fittings really high quality. There is a large oven which is helpful when cooking for 8, as were the washer and dryer when we had so many children with us! We had an Asda groceries delivery on our first day which arrived with no problem and having a large fridge and freezer meant that we were well stocked for our visit. The hot tub maintained its temperature well and was an absolute hit with the kids. Lois and Alun provided a welcome pack which was unexpected but delicious! Lois also popped round to say hello which was very lovely. We visited a number of places locally but would really recommend Greenwood county park and Newborough beach. Overall we had a great week, in this large, comfortable and really rather lovely house, thank you!

My family had a lovely week staying at Ty Mawr Farm.

The weather was mixed but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves in a beautiful, peaceful location with a hot tub to relax in while watching the cows grazing in the field. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and were on hand if we needed anything, my grandson who is 3 especially enjoyed watching the herd being milked. The 'Big House' was spacious, well equipped and accommodated all of us perfectly, that is 6 adults, 2 children and a dog. We would certainly recommend this stay to our family and friends as Anglesy is a beautiful place and there is much to see and do, whether it be doing the coastal walks, watching the car racing at the local circuit or visiting Hollyhead for the day. We even managed to go back over the Menai Straits into Snowdonia and climb Snowdon which is all on the doorstep. Great holiday had by all, including the dog!
