What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ronnie - Verified booking

This is a loverly cottage in a great rural location with the added bonus of an enclosed garden for our dog to sit out and enjoy.

The property is only a quick drive away from the main town for all your shopping needs and close to the main highways so you don’t have to travel that far to get going when you want venture out and about. There are also some lovely walks you can take straight from your doorstep which was very handy. We had a couple of minor gripes - the water pressure in the main bathroom was not the greatest and some work is required in regard to the wash basin taps as they were loose and moved when you turned them on and off. The other main issue was the WiFi, it was very good in the kitchen, and in the up stairs bedroom (directly above the kitchen) but awful on the other side of the house where the main front room and TV is located. I would recommend to the owner to install some WiFi boosters around the house as this would definitely help. Overall though our stay was great and we would definitely stay again in the future.

The house was lovely, very clean and well equipped.

It was a fantastic size and suited myself, mum and 4 year old perfectly. The garden was a nice size and secure for our two miniature dachshunds. When we first entered the house you could tell the heating had been on, it was lovely and warm and really hit you. The heating didn't come back on though, we tried to override it as per the instructions but nothing worked. It did get a bit cool in the evenings but there was 2 plug in heaters that kept us warm. Some clearer instructions on how to reach the house would be great, my sat nav sent me up a residential street which then went into a very narrow and steep lane before announcing we'd reached our destination. However, the owner was a phone call away and once we'd be guided onto the correct road, the house is very easy to find! All in all, a lovely stay, we was very lucky with the weather and spent our few days in October on the beach!! Thank you!

We have had a lovely time staying in Tegeirian , we were expecting a wet week but the weather was more than kind to us and Daisy our cockapoo loved the dog friendly beach in Newton { but we would also like to let people know that dogs are not allowed on the beach from May to the end of September on Trecco Bay and Porthcawl beach} and she also enjoyed all the attention from the local bar staff especially in The Jolly Sailor, The Ancient Briton is another lovely pub providing live music on Sunday afternoon from 4pm - 6pm it was a beautiful afternoon everyone sitting on the walls of the village green enjoying the sunshine and the live entertainment of a lovely singer called Theresa Day. The owners Stephen & Catriona are very friendly and helpful and should be proud of their spotlessly clean holiday home we can't wait to holiday here again Diolch yn fawr

On the day of travel we were informed that the log burner was out of order.

This was a huge disappointment as it was one of only two important search criteria for us when booking and we'd purchased logs for our stay. On arrival we couldn't access the key safe. We rang the contact and a man came out promptly to help us, however he couldn't access it either. Eventually we got in. The inside of the cottage was nice and traditional, however every room is covered in thick dusty, old cobwebs from eye level and above. We honestly had never seen so many cobwebs! Door handles, switches and light pulls were very grubby and the lid of the loo doesn't stay up. The lounge is cosy and upstairs there's plenty of space. Sleep was not good though as every morning a noisy boiler fired up at 6.30am. The boiler makes the bed shake! This could be a lovely cottage as the location and privacy is great, but it needs a thorough deep clean.

We found this perfectly suited for our party of three, none of us over 5'6".

Taller people might have to duck in some doorways and a fourth person would be a squeeze on the living room sofa / in the dining table corner, though certainly manageable. Although holiday homes surround the property, we forgot they were there, and our little bit of landscape felt very private and secluded, shared only with rabbits. The building is very rustic, with uneven floors and sounds travelling straight through the ceiling to the room above: however, that's what we want out of a holiday cottage--it'd be a pain to live with long term, but it's a fun quirk for a few days, and all the facilities were good. We appreciated the spacious-ness of the layout, with three different sitting room areas, and how dog friendly it was: with zero traffic and a bit of garden, it was perfect for our labrador puppy on his first family holiday.
