What our customers say about their holidays

The wood fired hot tub had been pre lit, quality dressing gowns and towels were provided.

The bed had a rest assurred matress the crockery was Denby... the peace and tranquility was incomparable, and the hosts went out of there way to ensure everything was fabulous...from meeting us at the gate, to directions into town and replenishing the firelighters. The accomadation has a luxurious feel and was beautifully presented... Someone has a real eye for interior design and it really enhances that feeling of pure bliss which is enhanced by thoughtful touches such as the flowers on the table and all you need for your first cuppa even a tiny bottle of milk in the fridge (that hides with the microwave in the cupboard under the belfast sink.) There is a two ring hob and outdoor barbeque, toaster and kettle plus everything you need to cook and wash up with. The shower temperature and force was fab and there is a heated towel rail which dries the towels and keeps the bathroom warm. The log burner is blissfull, it gets very warm very quickly and meant the shepherds hut was toasty and warm. Because of this we braved our private outdoor hot tub during a hail storm. In fact we sat in the hot tub everyday, at different times, watching the sunset seeing the stars come out..looking at the outstanding views and watching the wildlife. The owners are on a continual improvement mission and have now added shelters and screens around the hot tub area to enhance privacy without detracting from the feeling of space or interfering with views. Every second was a treat. It was perfect, blissful, heavenly a total antidote to stress and we can't wait to return.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary at this place and we were happy with our decision 100%!

We haven’t been away from kids and haven’t spent time just two of us for nine years. And wanted a secluded, quiet and romantic place with a hot tub and fire pit. We got all what we wanted and hosts were so welcoming and hospitable! We felt looked after and at the same time without any pressure or feeling that anyone is around. We enjoyed fire pit and got wood supply without any limit and we appreciated that this hut had everything one needs for a getaway like that. It was cosy, warm, sparkling clean and very comfortable everywhere. It has all a couple needs for a romantic stay! Bed sheets were fresh and crispy and plates, cutlery and cooking appliances were hug quality and it was nice to eat and drink using them. Hot tub was amazing! It gave us couple of hours of joy and pleasure sitting watching stars and enjoying silence and listening to music! Loved every minute there and I agree with other reviewers that this is a place to remember and keep coming back to. It’s definitely on our list to come back when we get another chance! Lovely place! Thank you to the hosts/owners! We will be back :)…

We had a lovely stay here.

We were late getting in as we drove from North Wales and got a little lost at the last few miles as we hadn't received any information from Sykes for our arrival. When we arrived we were shown to our Shepherd's hut and once we unloaded the car we jumped into the hot tub which was nice and warm for our arrival. The downside for us is we had to drive everywhere, we hadn't done a lot of research. You could walk to town which was a mile and a half but after driving the country lane to the hut we didn't fancy walking that in the dark, although you could get a taxi. We ran out of logs a lot as we were in the hot tub two or three times a day as the weather was pretty chilly at the end of May. Otherwise the hut was good but if it was raining you ended up lying on the bed to read but that is just part and parcel of this type of holiday. We would do this type of holiday again.

Really beautiful place to stay, good central location to get around Cornwall.

The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. If you're the kind of person who likes glamping then this is the better option for you as it has all the facilities you need in one unit. Bring your boots to get to and from the hut as it's in a lovely field. (If it's wet) the hot tub is a massive bonus to rest after a long day out in Cornwall. There's sun loungers and a table and chairs outside on the grass so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. In the evening you can warm up by the fire pit. Or have a BBQ on it! We will definitely stay here again. Suggestions: a few more kitchen utensils, scissors and a measuring jug for example. A big board over the sink to give you a bit more work top would help prepping dinners. Bed was really comfy and good night sleep. Overall stay was excellent and we will be booking here again soon.

      I absolutely loved this place.

Me and my partner will be back. The hot tub was amazing, the bed was so comfy, the hot water bottles were so lovely, the shower was just right. The owners were amazing and so kind. I only have 2 things... 1, The hot tubs aren't as private as we would have liked. There are plants placed next to the it, but I feel a fence or something would have been better as we could see the other guest in the hut opposite and they could see us. 2, Some basic things like tea bags and coffee would have just made the stay. We weren't made aware that it didn't come with this so I had to send my partner out for tea bags. Obviously that isn't a big issue as there is a big Tesco not to far away but I feel it should either be mentioned that there is no facilities like this.
