What our customers say about their holidays

    • Fiona - Verified booking

My family (9 of us, mixed ages) stayed here for Christmas.

The house was perfect, and the owners have been very thoughtful about everything provided to make your stay a home away from home. All the extra items we brought with us that are usually missing, we didn’t need to use as they are all here for you. It was great to have a kitchen with an abundance of cooking and serving utensils. The layout makes the most of the amazing views (bedrooms on the ground floor, main areas on the first floor), and the one bedroom located on the same level as the kitchen/lounge etc was perfect for my Mum who has mobility issues. The information pack provided has all information relating to the operation of all appliances within the property and also about the locality and places to visit (West Bay is a must for all Broadchurch fans and is walkable from the property) Louisa who manages the property was so helpful with all our questions, and we got to meet her when she came to check the hot tub during our stay. We highly recommend this property, and would absolutely love to stay here again.

Firstly thank you for providing all accurate information.

One thing I think that would benefit your future clients is if people realise how close the proximity to the beach really is! It's brilliant, it's just straight up the hill around the corner and down the lane. I couldn't really tell how close even on Google maps and I couldn't understand what East Fleet and West Fleet was until we got to the beach and could understand that Chesil was directly across the stretch of water. Our pup absolutely enjoyed it all as much as we did. We brought his crate with us so he could sleep in it at night as he normally does. The garden was a fabulous bonus, I can't tell you how many properties we looked at that didn't have a stretch of garden or grass. Your cottage ticked everything we needed and the garden was an essential. The bed was super comfy, bathroom was spot on. We didn't intend on staying in for dinners and took some of your recommendations for eating out with the dog being allowed too. Thank you and we would love to return. Kind Regards Marie Rich and Pup Motley

We were all absolutely delighted with this property.

It was spacious, clean and the garden was a delight with its hot tub, hide, quiet spaces, games room and conservatory. The upstairs balcony provided glorious views towards West Bay. It was close enough to walk to West Bay and the local leisure centre at Bridport was a successful and affordable place for our teenagers on a wet day. The flowers on our arrival plus the welcome pack were much appreciated. The property was very well stocked; the kitchen was clean, modern and bright with everything we could possibly need. We really appreciated that the owner had ensured everything for a BBQ was present and it was taken away to be cleaned before we used it. The owner was easy to contact at all times. We had a wonderful time and did not want to come home. This was a brilliant property and our thanks to the owners for making us so welcome.

What a perfect place for a large family holiday, the large kitchen is full of everything you need and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Some beautiful views from the long kitchen and dining room balcony of the sea and West Bay but only on a clear day. Louis is a lovely helpful person and calls by a couple of days without disturbing you to maintain the hot tub. One review mentioned a problem with the hot water running out which it never did and as the 2 floors have separate hot water supplies it's easy to share bed 5 shower which is on the first floor kitchen level, and the flooring on the first floor will only make a noise for the ground floor bedrooms if people wear shoes to walk around. We had a family group of 12 mixed ages and came to Bridport to visit our daughter, the size of the house made it possible for her family of 6 to come and gather with us during the day to catch up, all in all it was the perfect place and will certainly be back.

The house had everything we needed for a peaceful break away.

It was like a home from home. There are areas which needed a little attention with cleaning, skirting boards and door frames need wiping down but it didn’t affect our stay. Washing machine was a god send and meant I had no holiday washing to do when we got home. The back garden is a little a sun trap and the hot tub was lovely to jump into after a hot day exploring. Welcome folder had everything in it that we needed. Parking space was used all week, in fact, we only used the front door once and that was when we arrived. Area is very quiet, despite being in a residential area. Short walk to coastal path from house. Lots of walks on Portland and lots to see. Lots to do and see in Dorset. You definitely need transport when staying here.
