Guests have praised the property's cleanliness, comfortable beds, and the hot tub feature. The surrounding area is appreciated for its beauty and proximity to local attractions. The property is equipped for families, including children's dinnerware and ample kitchen facilities. Some guests noted minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, with bright white bedding and towels. However, some noted areas for improvement, such as windows, cobwebs, and occasional unclean kitchen items. The hot tub is reportedly cleaned regularly, which is a positive aspect.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, beautiful countryside views, and proximity to local farms and attractions like Alton Towers. Some guests were disappointed with the inaccessibility of the fishing pond and the lack of mobile signal.
Guests have commented positively on the comfortable mattresses and pillows, and the property's ability to remain cool during a heatwave. However, some guests mentioned issues with winter duvets being too hot and a broken bed, which suggests room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen appliances, two hot tubs, and children's dinnerware. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as blocked drains, broken showers, and a freezer needing defrosting. The presence of builders during a stay also impacted the experience for one group.
While the property provides many thoughtful touches, such as children's dinnerware and condiments left by previous guests, there is no mention of gifts provided by the property management. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category.

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th-century, the town was a fashionable social centre, and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by and for thrill seekers Alton Towers with its exciting collection of rides and attractions is just a short drive away.

Just take into mind you have two sets of stairs to go up to get in, but both are good. My dad managed with his stick. Very large accomidation, we were a group of 5. Able to book to start the holiday on a Sunday, which suited our plans.

Just perfect for what we wanted. Only fault was no hot water in the kitchen, to wash up with, so thank god for the dishwasher. This did not diminish our stay here. The hot tub was brilliant. And also in a beautiful surroundings area. Fabulous weekend was had by all.

It had all the facilities you can ask for and imagine. It was spacious and modern with hints of vintage equipment. Will definitely be going again in the next holidays! The area was safe, and the hot tub was a fantastic addition to the whole getaway.
