    Tynemouth Holiday Cottages

Tynemouth - a large seaside town in North East England - sits to the north of the River Tyne. Tynemouth is a popular holiday destination for good reason: with so much to see and do both day and night, visitors to this coastal town will never be bored.

Tynemouth Longsands is beloved by sunbathers, surfers and sandcastle builders alike, with golden sands and great swells. Visitors young and old will enjoy Tynemouth Park: home to a dinosaur-themed mini-golf course and a charming boating lake. You might like to plan your trip to coincide with the Mouth of the Tyne Festival: a celebration of music and theatre.

At Snaptrip, we provide our customers with thousands of properties to choose from, as well as an unbeatable best price guarantee. Are you dreaming of a sweet seaside holiday cottage in Tynemouth? Perhaps you're after something with period features or a wood-burning stove, or a modern property with a private hot tub? Beautiful Cottage, Perfect Location... We don't live too far from Tynemouth and were looking for somewhere to rent while we had some work carried out on our home when we came across Blue Crab Cottage on an online search. We're so pleased we did. Firstly, the property is lovely. It has a nice cottage feel with real wood doors and frames, a lovely kitchen diner and cosy lounge. Very open and airy and extremely comfortable. The cottage is amazingly well equipped, full of top quality appliances and accessories. Nothing in the property has been done with the view that it'll do for a holiday let. Everything from the cutlery and utensils to the towels and bedding is of a really good quality. The location of the cottage is great, step out of the door and you're right on Tynemouth Front Street, full of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Everything you need for a great stay. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the north east coast or Newcastle, 25 minutes away by metro. Despite just looking for somewhere to stay out of convenience we ended up having an amazing holiday and not wanting to go home.

Property is not easy to find, no clear signpost of where the property is and which parking spaces were ours.

A kind neighbour helped us and told us parking Bay 6 and 5 was ours. The cottage advertises 3 parking spaces which is partly why we chose this cottage as we were meeting with family so we were quite dismayed on the Sunday when we were challenged about parking in bay 5 by someone claiming that this is a space that their son normally parks in. Has this cottage got 3 parking spaces or not? The key safe came completely off the wall when trying to access the keys, broken lamp in the twin room and the downstairs television was impossible to get working. We did email the owners on Friday and they did get back to us on the Monday but we were back home then. However this is a nice cottage tucked away in a quiet area so a shame it lets itself down in a few areas. This would have been an ideal cottage for us to come to regular for meeting family but will not stay again due to the parking debacle.

The cottage was spotless and well-appointed.

Good wi-fi and tv for us techies. I have only slightly downgraded the facilities because there is no bathroom on the same floor as the bedrooms but this would not be a problem for those less elderly than us. The beds are comfortable and lots of coat hangers was a good idea. One very, very small point to raise was that although I was advised to bring beach and tea towels, I wasn’t told to bring toilet paper expected more than one third of a roll to be provided. Luckily, there is a co-op on Front Street With long opening hours, Tynemouth Cottage is in a lovely and quiet location with fabulous walks in all directions. I thoroughly recommend it.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and well maintained in a lovely setting within reach of all that Tynemouth has to offer The facilities within the cottage are as described - it is worth noting that the bathroom is downstairs whilst the two bedrooms are on the first floor and as a personal choice I would prefer a dishwasher to washing machine however this would not prevent us from staying again We loved the sonos system as we listen to music whenever we are inside A perfect cottage for couples or small family holiday near beautiful beaches and attractive ruined priory and castle

This perfect little cottage is situated in such a fantastic location.

I loved our morning cuppa sitting out, looking at the sea and watching the gulls. Just a few paces around the corner and we would watch the activities in the bay. We enjoyed a short circular walk around this part of Tynemouth which gave us a great feel for the place whilst stopping to enjoy the market and of course the great views! The cottage itself has everything you need. Really well set up and the decoration is just right. Our teenagers enjoyed the access to bars as we did too. Great history on your doorstep - a perfect getaway, and Hank you.
