Viewpoint is a highly praised cottage in Alnmouth, Northumberland, celebrated for its stunning views, modern comforts, and excellent location. Guests consistently commend the property's cleanliness, the quality of the furnishings, and the peaceful environment. While some minor maintenance issues and a desire for more kitchenware are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many guests eager to return.
The property is generally described as clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about cobwebs and a stray undergarment. The majority of guests found the property spotless, contributing to a high cleanliness score.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to the beach, and stunning views of both the sea and countryside. It is considered perfect for relaxing and exploring the local area, earning an almost perfect score.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the house cosy, with a layout that maximises the views. Some mention light from the blinds and the flashing of alarm sensors as minor discomforts, but overall, the property is seen as a comfortable retreat.
The property is well-equipped with modern facilities and quality fixtures. Some guests suggest the addition of more kitchenware and microwave dishes. The mention of a quick fix needed for the dishwasher door indicates room for improvement in maintenance.
While some guests mention receiving a welcome gift, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and there is no sufficient information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the hosts. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such gifts are a kind gesture when provided but not guaranteed.

An excellent position with a good walk into Alnmouth, we enjoyed walking in across the beach and back across the coastal path. We were so lucky to see the Aurora on two nights. Would love to visit again with friends, parking is for one car only though. Am guessing a welcome pack is no longer provided.

The house suits us perfectly. Itâs a great location and has the things we need. A decent bed. Smart tv, great views, parking, modern feel, spacious itâs all good. I would have liked a welcome Pack. I know itâs maybe sometimes a waste but a bottle of wine just makes it more welcoming and Iâd have enjoyed a glass or two to mark the first night. Itâs a small issue though.
