Guests say

The Dairy in Cumbria offers a comfortable and spacious stay with beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome from the owners. Guests appreciate the property's location for exploring the area and its cosy atmosphere. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning to return.

Reviews indicate a generally clean environment, but some guests have reported issues such as cobwebs, dog hairs, and a dirty kitchen blind. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than the norm.

The property is praised for its great location, with easy access to local attractions, shops, and pubs. The beautiful Cumbrian countryside and proximity to Hadrian's Wall are frequently mentioned as highlights.

Most guests find The Dairy comfortable, with a cosy and warm atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with beds and seating, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the spacious kitchen and living areas. However, there are several comments about maintenance issues such as the hot tub, shower, and parking, which lowers the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Front door difficult to open and outside light not working were the only negative aspects. I had a fall outside the property on the second day but that was not due to anything wrong with property. Would definitely be happy to stay again but would make wardrobe adjustments due to the wind that hits the property.

Hot tub shared with several other occupants of other accommodation on site which was not understood on booking. Good chat with Host who described local amenities and who ensured heating was on when we arrived during a cold spell and who confirmed their availability if any problems occurred. Excellent base to explore the local history

The accommodation was just what we’d hoped for and was very clean and comfortable. We explored on foot and by bike - it’s a cracking area to visit with beautiful scenery and history and we’d highly recommend staying here.
