This wonderful rural retreat can accommodate four guests and is ideal for a family or two couples seeking a base near to the Peak District National Park, being only around five miles away from the border. Once you've reached this idyllic escape, take in the views before heading inside this traditional building which still boasts the original, small arrow slit windows throughout. Take a left from the entrance hallway to find the inviting sitting room, complete with plush leather and tweed Chesterfield sofas to unwind on, a Smart TV and an electric woodburning stove-effect fire, perfect for cosy nights in. Pass the handy cloakroom in the hallway before heading into the kitchen/diner, a contemporary space where quality appliances can assist you in cooking up delicious meals, all to be enjoyed at the dining table which sits in view of the window. When the evening draws in, retire to one of the two beautiful bedrooms - The first is home to twin beds and a Smart TV, and benefits from a wonderful en-suite bathroom complete with subway wall tiles, decorative floor tiling and a roll-top bath to soak in, along with overhead and hand held showers. The Etherow Country Park is practically on your doorstep, home to a nature reserve and a sailing club, with a café to stop in for a treat at following a ramble around the scenic green spaces. Pay a visit to the National Trust's Lyme Estate, once used as Mr Darcy's Pemberley in the TV adaption of 'Pride and Prejudice', this imposing house and large 1300-acre estate with a deer park is well worth a visit. The barn was very well equipped with all fittings of a high standard. It's in a quiet remote location however very easy to access both Manchester and the Peaks. There is a train station less than a couple of miles away which made travel easy. An enjoyable few days thank you.
