Losehill View is a well-received cottage in the Peak District, praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and high-quality finish. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts, and the well-equipped facilities. The cottage's comfort and modern decor are noted, alongside its proximity to local amenities and attractions. While there are minor suggestions for improvement, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. There is a single mention of dust under the settee, but this appears to be an isolated comment in the context of otherwise glowing feedback.

The location is highly praised for being central, with easy access to local pubs, cafes, and walking routes. Its setting in the heart of Castleton is considered perfect by reviewers.

The cottage is generally regarded as comfortable, with specific praise for the king-size bed and spacious kitchen. However, a few guests suggest improvements in seating comfort, which slightly impacts the score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-stocked kitchen and modern amenities. Criticisms include the absence of a second TV as advertised and a suggestion to empty the tumble dryer water. Overall, the facilities meet guests' needs effectively.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently acknowledged through mentions of welcome gifts and useful local information. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a kind bonus and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

We had everything we needed. Great location no need to move the car as all great walks are on the doorstep. Previous reviewer mentioned car park prices in the visitor centre car park, if you download the PayByPnone app it cost us just over £20 for the week and most carparks in the area use this. A great place to stay.

Kitchen was excellent and very well equipped. We loved the style and decor. Good supply of local information. Downsides are the mattresses. Both needed replacement as we could feel the springs. Also lots of dust under the settee. We would recommend the water is emptied from the tumble dryer as it took us ages to get it working. Finally, visitors should be informed that shops in Castleton close at 5/6pm so if arriving later ensure you get basic provisions in either Hope or Bradwell.

Fantastic choice of pubs and cafes, we didn't cook but the kitchen has everything you need. Parking could be an issue in busier times, but we found a space on Buxton Road and left the car there all week as we walked everywhere. If arriving in peak period be prepared to pay about £55 to park for a week in the visitor centre car park opposite cottage. Will definitely be back, and have recommended highly to friends & family.
