Dene Court is a well-regarded cottage in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall, praised for its high standard, comfort, and beautiful garden. Guests appreciate its proximity to the beach, spacious rooms, and useful facilities like the outdoor shower and wetsuit drying room. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is highly recommended for a relaxing stay.
The property is generally considered clean, with one report of dog hairs which required additional cleaning. However, this seems to be an isolated incident as other reviews highlight the property's cleanliness upon arrival.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and coastal walks. The steep walk from the beach and the garden's suitability for dogs and those with mobility issues are noted, but the overall sentiment about the location is very positive.
Guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The presence of two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen contribute to the comfort of the stay.
Facilities like the outdoor shower, wetsuit drying rack, and laundry room are appreciated. However, some guests suggest improvements such as a larger fridge, a car charger, and better plumbing for the dryer. The outdoor shower being stuck on hot is a noted concern.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

A lovely house and a great place to stay

Good size property, well equipped and comfortable for a large family/group. The outdoor shower and drying room were very useful additions. Lovely area, the beach, pubs/restaurant/shops in the town were in reasonable walking distance although bear in mind it’s uphill all the way back.

Lovely cottage, clean, comfortable, well decorated and spacious enough for 6 of us. The views were fabulous and the garden a pleasure to sit in. The walk up from Mawgan Porth is a bit of a climb but not a challenge if you’re fit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were lucky with a sunny week in June so enjoyed walks and plenty of beach time. We’ll definitely be back.
