Guests say

Bosworlas Farm House in Cornwall receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and tranquil location. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and the warm welcome, including a welcome pack. The property's charm and proximity to local attractions like St Ives and Marazion add to its appeal. While internet connectivity is mentioned as a minor issue, the overall experience is one of a peaceful and enjoyable stay in an authentic Cornish setting.

Reviewers consistently mention the cleanliness of the property, describing it as immaculate, tidy, and fresh. This indicates a high standard of cleanliness maintained at the property.

The property's location is praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions such as St Just, Lands End, and beautiful beaches. However, one review mentioned difficulty finding the property without satnav, slightly impacting the score.

Guests find the farmhouse comfortable, with spacious bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cosy atmosphere even during a storm. The presence of an enclosed garden and comfortable armchairs also contributes to the comfort level.

Facilities are generally well-received, with ample crockery and cutlery and good appliances. However, minor issues such as the lack of a milk jug and limited internet bandwidth are noted, indicating room for improvement.

The welcome pack is frequently mentioned and appreciated, demonstrating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

This traditional, detached south facing Farm House nestling in the upper reaches of Cot Valley close to the town of St Just, adjacent to a working family farm. Set over two floors, Bosworlas Farm House provides an idyllic escape for a family or group of friends looking to escape to Cornwall, with easy access to Penzance and St Ives. Outside there is off-road parking for three cars and there is an enclosed garden, on 3 sides of the house where you can enjoy a drink after a long day. Step into the property and make yourself at home in the spacious lounge, relaxing on the sofas and armchairs, with TV and stereo whilst the open fire gently warms the room. Move over to the kitchen, making use of the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher to prepare a hearty meal, whilst the washing machine comes in handy for the laundry. Serve up meals at the dining table, offering seating for six, before heading upstairs to get ready for bed. Choose between a king-size, double or two single rooms, each presented with wooden furniture and fresh linen. A family bathroom finished in an aquamarine blue style completes the interior, offering choice of bath and shower over. Head into the historic mining town of St Just and browse a selection of independent shops, grab a treat from the award-winning Warrens Bakery or stop off for some grub in a local pub. The Jackson Foundation Galley is also well worth a visit along with lots of shops, pubs, and cafés. This is a haven for ramblers, with stunning trails across the South West Coast Path on high granite cliffs or walk into St Just only a mile across fields and moorland. Beach days can be enjoyed at Sennen Cove, perfect for surfing or simply lounging on the sands, while there is also a pebbled beach at Porth Nanven which is often quieter. Elsewhere in the local area, head towards Lands End, one of Britain’s best loved landmarks, famous for its unique location and beautiful scenery, whilst the popular town of St Ives cannot be missed, known for its great surfing waters, picturesque beaches and choice of museums and art galleries. Take a picnic and enjoy a performance at The Minack Theatre, a breath-taking open air clifftop theatre. Take a day trip to the Isle of Scilly a magical tropical paradise, by air from Lands End Airport (only 2miles from Bosworlas) or boat from Penzance. A treat to any holiday in Cornwall! Bosworlas Farm House is well-placed for accessing the best of Cornwall.

The town of St Just, which is located around eight miles to the west of Penzance, is the one closest to Land's End. There are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to view in the town itself, which is an ancient colony with a long history of mining, including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. Due to its location on the edge of the moors and close proximity to the stunning north shore, St Just is in an ideal location for tourists to explore Cornwall's far west. The Plain-an-Gwarry theatre, which was once the site of miracle plays in the middle of the town, now hosts the Lafrowda Festival.

If on the other hand you would like a spacious old fashioned cottage on a working (Quiet) farm a short drive from some of the best sights in Cornwall, then you're in luck. Comfy beds, luxury bath towels, loads of crockery, fresh flowers, a nice welcome pack and a table ready laid for a night-in were a few of the positives. Unfortunately there was no hand soap in the bathroom, loo or kitchen, and no gels for the shower - though the pictures do show some. A quick trip to the local Co-op solved that oversight. This is a very warm house so we didn't resort to the open fire (Note: You have to take/buy your own logs/coal) and the boiler is a bit noisy when it fires-up. This house isn't perfect or precious but it's not expensive and has character. We would recommend it to anyone.

Boswarlos Farmhouse was just lovely and peaceful. It was clean and tidy, and the welcome basket with added fizz was a great touch too. The farmhouse was more than big enough for the 5 of us, with everything we needed to cook meals etc. It's close to St Just village, Lands End and stunning beaches. We will definitely be booking this property again next year.
