Set in a fantastic harbourside location, this two-storey cottage is a great choice for families wanting a seaside holiday, friends wishing to explore the coastal walks, and couples seeking a coastal retreat. Porthleven has a picturesque and bustling harbour, an excellent range of independent eateries to satisfy foodies, and the main sand and shingle beach (0.5 miles) is good for swimming, rock-pooling and family fun. Storm watching is a particular favourite in the winter season here.
This welcoming and bright property has a coastal theme, and thoughtful bright furnishings create a relaxing ambience. Enter the cosy living room, and your eye is drawn by the views of the harbour from the windows. The room feels like a home-from-home with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV inviting you to put your feet up and unwind. The whole ground floor is designed for sociable, easy living, with an archway into a contemporary and spacious kitchen/dining room that makes meal preparation a breeze. A sliding door from the kitchen leads to the rear yard. On the first floor are a shower room and three bedrooms - one super-king-size with a harbour view, one double and one single. Outside, you can enjoy an enclosed paved terrace to the front with seating – perfect for your morning brew or evening drinks while you watch the world float by in the harbour. To the rear is a small yard.
The South West Coast Path is perfect for walkers of all abilities, so head to Looe Bar Beach (1.5 miles) when you fancy a change of scene. All the family will enjoy a day at Paradise Park and Jungle Barn (10 miles), with an indoor play area for rainy days. Two of the prettiest spots along the coast are the picturesque harbour at Mullion Cove (11 miles) and St Michael’s Mount (9 miles), with its historic castle and cobbled causeway located opposite Marazion Beach.
Miss Redman
Fantastic cottage in the perfect location with everything you need. Cannot recommend it enough.
Mrs Paine
Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. Will definitely be back!
Mr Hoar
The location is perfect, with fantastic views across the harbour. Perfect for witnessing the stormy Atlantic. The town with varied options for dining is literally on the doorstep. And the beach is a short walk away. The cottage is warm, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to self-cater and enjoy the surrounding area. The interior was spotlessly clean. The provided towels were sumptuous and the beds were powerfully soporific.
