The kitchen is well-equipped to enable you to easily feed a hungry family after a day on the beach, and it opens onto the large dining area and sitting room, where you can all convene. The striking glass balcony and patio garden offers a stunning vantage point from which to soak up the sweeping coastal vista - perfect for a sunset refreshment. On the ground floor are two bedrooms - a king-size double with en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom with shower room. One further double bedroom occupies the second floor and enjoys an en-suite bathroom with superb sea and coastal views.

From the doorstep of Derowen, you can walk down to Port Isaac’s working fishing harbour and its picture perfect whitewashed cottages and winding cobbled streets. There is so much on offer in this small Cornish village, with a wealth of galleries and shops to browse, and an impressive collection of cafés, pubs and restaurants to choose from. Children and adults alike enjoy rockpool rambles on the beach, crabbing off the harbour wall and exploring the myriad of stunning coastal footpaths. Oppositely, just a five-minute walk from the property is the cove of Port Gaverne, home to a safe bathing beach and excellent pub. By car, a short 10-minute drive will bring you to the popular surfing beach of Polzeath; Daymer Bay with its gentle waters; or Rock, renowned for its many water sports including sailing and water skiing, with a foot ferry across to Padstow.

A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
