Rock Lobster is a well-positioned cottage in Port Isaac, offering stunning views and a comfortable stay. Guests have praised its location and the homey feel, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches. Some concerns were raised about cleanliness and maintenance, but overall, the property provides a memorable holiday experience.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. Some guests found the property to be in a lovely condition, while others reported issues such as dirty carpets, mould in showers, and a dishwasher full of dirty crockery upon arrival.
The location is highly praised for its amazing views and convenience for walking into Port Isaac and coastal walks. It is also noted for its proximity to dining options and a Co-Op.
Comfort has been positively noted for the property's furnishings and layout. However, some guests mentioned that the mattresses and dining chairs were soft and in need of replacement, affecting the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living areas. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as broken window locks, worn cooker symbols, and a need for clearer instructions for appliances.
While guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like games for kids, there is no mention of gifts, and thus it cannot be confirmed if such gestures are consistently provided. Therefore, a score cannot be assigned for thoughtfulness in terms of gifts.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. The views were better than we expected and probably deserve more focus on the advert! Really well stocked, in Particular the kitchen had everything including sharp knives! Unusual for a holiday cottage. Mattresses are the only thing that we didn't get on with, there were even electric car hookups in the public car park 30seconds from the property. Highly recommend staying here and for the money I don't think you could find better

We definitely felt like not including some of the amenities made it less homey, less like an Airbnb type "home from home" stay and more like when you rent a static caravan. This brought the rating down for me as having to bring bedding, towels and tea towels means you're having to pack more! We only had one hand soap in one bathroom, having handsoap in all bathrooms and the kitchen is a welcome homely touch and guests wouldn't think about bringing handsoap to a holiday home so we had to share a handsoap between 4 toilets and 6 people. Other than this one point, the house is lovely, the location is stunning and we had such a lovely holiday. The layout of the kitchen area is perfect and the sofa was comfy which is not very common when you stay away somewhere!! Overall, loved it and if the points I made about making it more homely and relaxing for guests to visit were received and actioned, this would be a perfect property!!
