Guests say

Secret Beach is a well-liked cottage in Carbis Bay, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comprehensive facilities. Guests appreciate its proximity to the beach and train station, as well as the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. While some guests find the sofas and ventilation in need of improvement, the property generally offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The majority of guests found Secret Beach to be very clean, with only a few isolated comments about areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning or extra attention. The overall impression is that the property is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to the beach, train station, and St Ives, making it an excellent base for exploring Cornwall. The sea views, while limited, are appreciated, and the neighbourhood is described as nice.

Comfort receives mixed reviews; while the beds are often described as comfortable and the property spacious, several guests mention that the sofas are uncomfortable. Ventilation issues in one of the bedrooms were also noted.

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and good amenities. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as broken blinds, a dishwasher door spring, and a need for TLC, which slightly lowers the score.

There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While there are positive comments about the provision of beach toys and a cream tea, it is not clear if these are consistent offerings or one-off occurrences, and no other gifts are mentioned.

Lots of wardrobe space and close to lots of amenities. I do feel the house needs some TLC, particularly in the main bathroom. I would definitely go back to this house.

Its locations is central and only a short work from the Carbis bay hotel, 5 min drive to Tesco and a 10 min drive to St Ives. We had a wedding at the Carbis bay hotel so it was nice to only have a short walk to and from and from the beach. Just be mindful of the steep hill…… The property had anything and everything. I was very impressed by the amount of beach toys in the garage, a very nice touch. I would. Definitely recommend the property for a family. Just a small note for anyone thinking of booking. We did read the comments about the property looking tired and need of TLC but it is definitely a 5 star.
