The Pines in Carbis Bay is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its modern amenities, well-stocked kitchen, and proximity to local attractions and conveniences. The stunning views and comfortable furnishings, including a chaise lounge, contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. While most guests enjoyed their stay, a few noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
Most guests found The Pines clean and tidy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, a couple of reviews mentioned cleanliness issues, including one with hair and a toenail clipping found in an en suite, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to Tesco, local beaches, and attractions like St Ives and Carbis Bay. The availability of public transport and the scenic views are also appreciated, making it an ideal spot for holidaymakers.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the living areas relaxing, especially with the sea views. However, some guests mentioned rickety beds and a desire for comfier sofas, indicating room for improvement in comfort.
The property is well-equipped with a stocked kitchen and picnic equipment. Some guests experienced issues with the heating system and a lack of instructions for appliances, suggesting a need for better maintenance and clearer guidance.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like picnic equipment and treats for pets. While these gestures enhance the experience, it should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Also close to a supermarket and local pub, The Cornish Arms. There is a bus stop 3 minute walk from the property that takes you into St Ives town which was great as the car parks were always busy. The house has a beautiful view of Carbis Bay where we had a meal at the beach club and walked along the beach after. Unfortunately on our day of departure, our car wouldnât start and we had to call the RAC out. The owners arrived for a short stay whilst we were waiting and could not have been more hospitable, offering us drinks and to wait inside with them which was really nice of them. Overall a lovey stay!

The downstairs bedrooms had ensuites & were better than the upper bedrooms, but at least there was a small toilet upstairs. Tescos & a local pub was within walking distance which was really handy. Suggest a map of walking trails in the area would also be handy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic layout and gated but my cocker spaniel did find an area of wall next to the front where you can park your cars that he was able to jump onto the side street. I was able to deal with it once I found out but it would really benefit from an extra gate area next to the front door to stop this. Second, very simple but just double check filter in dishwasher. Needed a good cleaning. Otherwise great place and fantastic location with a short walk to both Carbis Bay Beach and St Ives. Would totally recommend and stay again.
