French doors open from the living room onto an enclosed garden which is a real suntrap and sheltered from ocean breezes. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside town of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the boutique hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branchline. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country.

All bed linen ,towels etc was provided which was great and in very good clean condition. I was though very disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage ,it did appear that no-one had checked the property before the next visitors arrived , we had to clean out the fridge due to spilt liquid in the bottom, wipe down the bannister as this was dirty and very sticky. Cobwebs hanging in all rooms ,dust on door ledges and across the top of the head boards ( not just a weeks dust) For the amount of money that my family and i paid i feel the property should of been checked over thoughly to ensure it was all in a clean condition.

The property is well maintained, very clean and comfortable - ideal if you are seeking a quiet location near the coast with easy access by train to St Ives. Fully enjoyed our stay there.
