Guests say

Gull Cottage in Dartmouth is highly praised for its cleanliness, superb location, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the property's quiet setting with lovely views, though some mention challenges with parking and steps. The cottage's charm and proximity to amenities make it a recommended stay, despite minor suggestions for improvements in facilities and comfort.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The location is frequently highlighted as terrific, close to amenities, and offering great views. However, accessibility issues due to steps and parking challenges during events slightly affect the score.

The cottage is generally found to be warm and cosy. Some guests found the bed too soft and narrow, and suggested improvements like black-out blinds and fans for better comfort.

Facilities are well-regarded, though guests suggest additions such as a washing machine and better seating arrangements. The lack of a welcome pack with basic provisions is noted.

While some guests missed a welcome pack and suggested more generous provision of essentials like toilet rolls, there is not enough information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host, and thus the score is set to null.

Leaving the updated parking instructions in the cottage was pointless as we couldn’t drive anywhere in Dartmouth. We had no choice but to go straight to the park and ride we then of course had to pay as we hadn t got the pass with us.By the time we had used the park and ride once without luggage and got to the cottage we then found the updated parking pass.We couldn t get the majority of our belongings from the car until the next day when the regatta was over.It was a very bad start and with some communication from you could have saved us time and trouble. The courtyard as you described did not have bistro furniture in it.The ground was covered in green slimy stuff..We were concerned that the large windows opened so wide.Surely a health and safety worry. It should be made clearer in the details excatly how many steps there are leading to the cottage. It could easily be too much for some people carrying cases and food.

) The cottage is nicely decorated and well equipped though it's a shame there was no welcome pack with tea/coffee/milk etc as we are used to getting in other rentals. We are a family of four, two adults and two young teens. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and spacious enough for our needs, but I will say that the photos make the living/kitchen area look bigger than it is. If we all wanted to watch TV, 2 had to sit on the (not very comfortable) high stools by the kitchen counter as one sofa was situated under the TV. It wasn't a major issue but for longer stays it may have been necessary to do some rearranging of furniture. More towels would have been lovely but again, a fairly minor issue. I presume if we had been staying a week we'd have had a fresh set available. Great to have two bathrooms though, and the showers were super. Overall I'd recommend Gull Cottage as a comfortable and convenient holiday let.

Very comfortable and although close to town and shops is very quiet with great views over the rooftops to the estuary. Would be useful to know that there are quite a few steps up an alleyway with no access to cars for unloading. You have to carry everything from the road up the steps and along a narrow walkway to the cottage and being self catering that means all your food as well as luggage. Once in, the cottage is amazing! Facilities wise it would be nice if there was a washing machine but understandably space is limited and there is a launderette just around the corner. Would definitely book again and recommend.
