Spring Barn in Hope Cove is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-stocked kitchen, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the property's rural charm, proximity to the coast, and the quality of furnishings. The spacious grounds and dog-friendly policy add to its appeal, although some minor issues with Wi-Fi and clothes storage were mentioned. The upside-down layout and stairgate placement received mixed feedback.
Guests consistently note the property's immaculate condition, with no signs of previous pet visitors, contributing to a very high cleanliness rating.
The property's location is generally well-regarded for its rural setting and proximity to Hope Cove and Salcombe, though some guests found the beach access less convenient than expected.
Comfort is rated highly with mentions of a warm, cosy environment and comfy beds, though the futon room's comfort was questioned and suitability for adults was doubted.
Facilities are praised for being well-appointed, especially the kitchen, though intermittent Wi-Fi and a need for a clothes airer slightly impacted the score.
While the reviews reflect a well-equipped property and mention of a Christmas tree, there is no explicit mention of gifts, thus a score cannot be provided.

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.

The Barn was very comfortable, with good outdoor space , probably one of the best equipped places I have stayed in. Nearby access to the costal paths we enjoyed walks to Hope Cove and Salcombe. Kingsbridge is a pleasant town with good pubs and restaurants, great local shops and supermarkets to stock up. A fab holiday.

Eight of us from 1 to 90 years of age enjoyed our stay at Spring Barn immensely. It was clean, warm and well stocked with everything that we needed including a Christmas tree and a box of toys and catering for Christmas cooking was easy. Local restaurants were good and enjoyed many walks. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would be happy to rebook again
