Guests say

Acorn Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, peaceful and scenic location, and comfortable furnishings. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, cosy wood burner, and the luxury of a hot tub with beautiful views. The presence of a friendly local cat named Jenkins added charm to the stay. The property's thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs and toiletries, were appreciated, contributing to a delightful and relaxing experience.

Guests consistently noted the lodge as the cleanest place they've stayed in, with the property being in perfect condition. The high standard of cleanliness contributed significantly to the overall positive experience.

The lodge's location is celebrated for its tranquillity and beautiful views, with easy access to local attractions and pubs. The peaceful surroundings and proximity to walking and cycling areas were particularly appreciated, although the access road's condition was noted.

Reviewers found the lodge to be very comfortable, with comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cosy living area. The underfloor heating in the bathrooms and the quality of the furniture added to the comfort of the stay.

The facilities, including the hot tub, wood burner, and modern appliances, were highly regarded. However, some guests mentioned minor issues with dining chairs and the readiness of the hot tub upon arrival, which slightly impacted the score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness was evident in the welcome packs, toiletries, and provision of Netflix. While these gifts were greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Spacious accommodation.. loved your attention to detail, right down to the firelighters. Enjoyed the Acorn theme too, very thoughtful.

A lovely quiet spot but not too far from a town or city. Hot tub was great as well, would recommend. The owner was spot on as well, thank you.

The weather wasn't too good whilst we were there, so we enjoyed a few evenings in either watching TV or playing games. However on a sunny day, the garden would be a lovely sun trap. The view was peaceful. We enjoyed sharing the garden with pheasants, partridge, robins and blackbirds... and of course "Jenkins".
