Guests say

Glen Pean is a well-received cottage offering a cosy and comfortable stay, with a host praised for their helpfulness. Its location is appreciated for proximity to attractions and quietness, while the presence of animals adds charm. Some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, but overall guests seem to enjoy their stay and express a desire to return.

Guests generally found the cottage clean and comfortable, though a few mentioned cobwebs and a neglected outdoor area. One review cited a poor level of cleanliness, but this seems to be an outlier.

The location is frequently praised for being quiet, close to Fort William, and well-situated for exploring local attractions. The scenic drive from Glasgow and the cottage's centrality to various sites are highlighted as positives.

Many reviews describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with good bedding. However, one review mentioned it as a 'no frills' accommodation, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are generally seen as adequate, with some guests noting the cottage surpassed expectations. However, issues with equipment instructions, a non-functioning hoover, and an oven problem detract from the score.

While the hosts are frequently mentioned as welcoming and helpful, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be guaranteed for future guests.

We loved our short stay at Glen Pean - it was the perfect setting for our trip on The Jacobite Express and an added extra treat was the proximity to Neptune’s staircase Clean, comfortable accommodation and the owners were very helpful when required Would definitely visit again

We only stayed one night out of four as we were so shocked by the state of the lodge and unkempt outside area. Layer of dust throughout, unclean fridge, cooker and toaster. Towels that I would not even use on my dogs. Light switch in the bedroom had pieces of wool as pull cords. The beds in the the twin room were not made up and the bedding in the double room was shabby and dated. Cobwebs in the kitchen windows. The owner would not resolve any issues despite us contacting them as soon as we made the decision to find somewhere also to stay.
