Guests consistently praise The Old Mill for its stunning views, cosy atmosphere, and friendly owners. The property's location is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity, with wildlife sightings and scenic walks right on the doorstep. The cottage's cleanliness and maintenance are well-regarded, and the presence of a woodburner adds to the charm. While some guests mention a firm mattress and the need for purchasing fuel, the overall experience is highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Reviews frequently highlight the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'extremely well maintained and clean,' suggesting a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.
The location is highly praised for its fantastic views and proximity to wildlife and nature, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities.
The cottage is repeatedly referred to as 'cosy' and 'comfortable,' although one mention of a 'firm mattress' slightly tempers the otherwise excellent feedback on comfort.
Facilities are generally regarded as good, with a woodburner and welcoming extras mentioned. However, a comment about limited TV reception indicates that there may be room for improvement in this area.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as the welcome provided for them and their pets, and the offer of on-site produced lamb and eggs. It is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very dog friendly and there were walks to do from the doorstep. It felt really remote, but wasn't far to travel for visiting Loch Ness. Lots of deer and bats to spot in the evening too, and when the clouds cleared, there was an amazing view of the milky way. The owners are right nearby and are there if you need them, friendly while never intrusive. Overall, a fantastic and very relaxing stay.

The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The view from the kitchen window is superb. Groceries at The Coop in Drumnadrochit. We visited Inverness and the Loch Ness centre. Beautiful walks in Glen Affric. We loved making a fire at night and read a book or watch a dvd. The owners are very helpful. Highly recommended!
