What our customers say about their holidays

    • Alan - Verified booking

The cottage is ideal for two people wanting to get away and enjoy a peaceful and pleasant location.

We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival by the owners Kathy and John. Most places of interest were within and hour or so drive and only 10 minutes from Betws-y-Coed. The weather was not particularly good to us but did not stop us getting out and enjoying the beautiful scenery and coastal resorts. Two downside things to the Cottage were 1) The Shower. Very small and the water pressure was poor, nothing more than a trickle. We were told about this on arrival but to late by then. We have stayed in a lot of Holiday Cottages and this is the worst Shower we have come across. 2) The Bed. Wooden frame with wooden slatted base and a thin Mattress. This made the bed very low and (in our opinion) not very comfortable. Despite these two things we would like to thank Kathy and John and would recommend this Cottage for a couple looking for a peaceful holiday.

We had an absolutely wonderful short break here.

Tucked awatin the hills to allow us peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of daily life and yet.... a good venue to dip in and out of places you want to go. good routes to surrounding areas. A lovely welcome gift was warmly appreciates, wine, Conwy ale and welsh cakes :) Luxurious decor ran throughout the flat and was tastefully done. loved the kingsize bed and roll top bath and double shower. Only thing I noticed that was not there was A FIRST AID KIT. Luckily when I bumped my head on the low beam, it was not needed. Did not sit in the garden ara as it as quite dark at night and may benefit from some solar lighting. Would have been nice. When back in wales, we will definitely book here again. Also, liked the recycling bins, which are easy to use.

Yes we would suggest a freezer would have been great, / there was no freezer box ether/ we had a problem with the very low beams it did no say in the information that the beams were so low, if you are 4 ft 6 ins you are o.

      K. To go under otherwise have to duck very low, still we are well into Our seventy s but we managed hit our head s a few times though. As for the loft very spacious ,clean, comfortable,,lovely quiet area in the trees with a stream running by , needed tidying up outside bit of a mess indeed have to carry your stuff from the car a bit of a way as can’t park outside the property as it’s gated off , but plenty of room parking maybe for 3 cars on the lane, / Sykes should put better information on for people to know before you book/ But all these few problems did not spoil our holiday in central we had a good week, only a few miles away from the famous Conwy ,and the great shopping town of Llandudno lovely area to explore people, cheers Hywel and Carole

We were so excited to be the first guests to stay in the gorgeous Stabal Bodran! We booked last minute and so glad we did! We were lucky to pick a week during heatwave, with beautiful sunshine all week! We enjoyed BBQ's in the garden and a walk to the Black Lion. Olivia's in the village is also worth visiting for breakfast. We'd recommend a trip to Betws-Y-Coed - Olif Tapas is lovely. Conwy and Beaumaris are well worth a visit if you like browsing the shops and castles. Beach wise - we enjoyed Colwyn Bay. We also drove to Dinas Dinlle which is a little quieter and very picturesque. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay! It's just what we needed. We'll definitely be back! x

We loved our week in this beautiful cottage.

The position and views were outstanding, and on the one day the weather blew hard we stayed in and enjoyed the warmth and security of the barn. Very friendly locals and walked to pub ( 25 MINS) and booked Sun lunch. Visited most of Snowdonia from coast to mountain and a perfect base just off the beaten track. Modern, smart , and would return. Sat nav ok to pub and small local caravan site ( signposted ) then up road and left at no through junction, past indicated left turn and look for gate. with sign on left. We had stunning views and sunsets and on two nights the stars were magnificent and lying in bed could see the plough through roof light close enough to reach out to.
