The views from the cottage are stunning and at the end of the day watch the sun set over the Arenig mountains. Bala's pretty town centre is only 3 miles away and offers an array of shops, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. The cottage is perfectly located to enjoy the fishing, watersports activities and sailing available at Llyn Tegid, or for something more adrenaline fuelled there is the National Whitewater Centre, just a short drive away. The area is also great for walking, with some fantastic routes from the cottage and cycling and mountain biking at Coed y Brenin, the renowned mountain bike centre a little further away. Further afield, why not visit the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog and take the world-famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam train to the harbour town of Porthmadog? Alternatively, a visit to the Llechwedd slate caverns, which is now also the home of Zipworld Titan, the longest 4 man zip in Europe, Bounce Below, an underground trampoline and Zipworld Caverns. The busy market town of Bala sits within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and is located at the head of Llyn Tegid, The famous lake at Bala, is the largest natural lake in Wales and home to a unique fish called the Gwyniaid, which is a relic of the Ice Age.
