Beudy Penrhos is a holiday cottage ideally located for either a relaxing or adventure packed break! If you want to get out and explore, there are plenty of walking routes from the cottage, the wildlife spotting is good here and it’s only a mile to a stunning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle. The historic town of Caernarfon is only a short drive away and there are plenty of great pubs, cafes and little shops to peruse there.
Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Although the cottage has underfloor heating it could be a little chilly, so the log burner would be brought into use if required. On a personal note I would have liked some form of privacy blinds in the kitchen as I felt very exposed with it being an all glass wall. The bed was very comfortable and cosy ensuring a good nights sleep. We slept so well that even the sheep disdn't disturb us. The location was perfect for exploring the Llyn Peninsular, Caenarfon and Snowdonia.
