Overall good apartment, not really suitable for our dogs (too many outside fire escape steps).
New bed, great bath towels. Balcony view fantastic. This made the flat (although could do with a good old clean and paint!) accessed from bedroom. Did find empty crisp packet and dirty cutlery in drawer. Dated bathrooms and kitchen decor but perfectly clean and fit for purpose. Except need new hairdryer and felt there was too much junk in the wardrobe alongside our clothes. Needs to be more separate. Completely separate cupboard. Made it feel cluttered. Cupboards very full in kitchen too. Should probably be cleared out a bit. Too much crockery and extra equipment. Loved our holiday and enough warning was given re steps but I do think a photo of the steps would help. I would say price point is just about right for decor, cleanliness and steps access. Great views - this made the holiday. BEWARE I did read about there being stairs but there really are so many! I'm not keen on heights and as they were outside the flat (aside from the last set that are internal) I felt vulnerable. It's the fourth flat up. Our 2 greyhounds were very hesitant on the outside fire escape stairs (I did take a chance on this). Not great when they were rained on. 3 sets. On the 15 min walk to the bay: the stiles are high and stone (keep sheep in) and the second style impassible because of steepness for our dogs. Would have been dangerous for us to lift them and make it over so we couldn't do that walk. Main road and B road has no pavement so we had no choice but to use the car. I did find a good walk to mortahoe and twichenen out of the camp and turn right. High up so great views. Be aware this flat is almost within a next door caravan site (you drive through this site to get to the flat) and below the flat is the astro turf for sports so regularly busy with activity so if looking for a quiet spot - this is not it. It's not overly intrusive but it is high on activity. Sunday night cold shower? First 2 nights fine. Husband had to look at thermostat. Outside balcony lights not working.

Apartment felt clean, bright and fresh.
Everything neat and tidy for our family stay. Well appointed kitchen with good quality fittings, utensils, cutlery/crockery - all looks new, even the board games still had their cellophane wrappers on. The apartment occupies the top floor but you lose a lot of effective floor space due to the eaves - not a problem for us as we were using it as a base so didn't spend huge amounts of time there but even our kids bumped their heads until we all got used to it. I'm 6ft but couldn't stand up straight in front of the toilet. The bathroom is mostly the shower - but this is a good thing, as with the kitchen, the bathroom has quality fittings and was clean and new. There's no parking on site but there's a couple of long stay car parks only a short walk and Sykes added us on to the parking permits so we didn't need to pay. Both bedrooms had good fans in, but we stayed during the hottest spell of the year so far, and it was uncomfortably hot at night. Nice apartment, only 5 mins from the beach - sadly the top end of Fore Street in Seaton is feeling tired which doesn't match the quality of the apartment once you're in it. Would stay in the building again, but with hindsight Apt 1 or 2 on the first floor may suit us better so you get floor-to-ceiling height round the whole accommodation. Not too much of an issue as we were out all day, but wouldn't want to live in it for too long. There's no garden - the description on the Vrbo listing saying "property grounds" isn't correct - this is a picture of the small public park round the corner that the back of the property overlooks.

Comfortable, clean, modern and well appointed flat in the centre of Ilfracombe close to the harbour and shops.
We enjoyed our week long stay in mid May and appreciated the generous welcome pack that our hosts provided. Very comfortable for a couple, cosy for 4 perhaps. Tips - Sleeping: if early morning light wakes you up, bring eye masks as the shutters let in a lot of light. The back bedroom is quieter than the front. Parking - we bought the seven day North Devon rover parking (£50 for the week online), which let us park in the Cove car park by the harbour, 3 mins walk away and covers you in Lynmouth and elsewhere (defo worth a visit with Watersmeet walk a must if you like walking). Balcony sun: to clarify previous reviews, mid May, we got sun in the morning until 9.15 and then for an hour in the evening just after 7. June and July the sun coverage should be longer I'd guess. Sitting there looking and listening to the sea is great in the sun, though a little too cool out of the sun in May. Things to do -great coastal driving with plenty of low gear driving and a few tight roads. Good local walks up the two hills and past Raparee cove if you fancy more of a challenge. And try the Ilfracombe ghost tour - a couple of hours of easy walking good fun, which may have you looking over your shoulder as the sounds of the past come back. 'Good morning' George :-)

We had a lovely holiday (apart from the weather) The apartment had all the mod cons but they were quite technical even with the hand books they were difficult to work out but google helped.
it was lovely to have a washing machine the only two things I would like to have seen was a wall clock in the living area and a decent dustpan and brush both inexpensive. Also maybe some leaflets of things to see and do. It was a lovely touch to have milk and biscuits and other bits left for us and cleaning stuff although we did bring our own. The apartment was bright and airy the balcony was a nice extra. The apartment is very central to all the amenities train bus beach amusement arcade fair rides food outlets. Itâs a really lovely walk along the sea wall to Dawlish about 40 mins waving to the many trains that pass ! We loved seeing the black swans and other birds in the stream.we used the trains a few times to visit teignmouth Torquay and Paignton we went to the zoo when you get off the train you need a 22 bus to take you to the zoo. the only real problem we had was the parking we couldnât have our allocated space so was told to park in another space then had an irate lady leave a note and came to find us to complain we still couldnât have our space so had to use another wrong one

Yes I sent a list of problems to caretaker, Dish washer didn't work fridge made constant noises , freezer did after one day.
Bed double was rock hard and lumpy , the doors to both patios were dirty couldn't see through. TV no netflix.or free view. Contacted caretaker no she didn't k ow what to do it was not connected to wi fi. Kitchen cups cracked , one toilet roll (half) only , duvet had brown mark on it ? Didn't use other beds as on my own due to you not changing dates which I requested. I came home after two nights as I found the place shabby and depressing due to no sleep in double bed. The property on whole is not as described, building surrounding are in need of demolishing, building work opposite noisy when arrived Friday fortunately I did not stay after bank holiday. A waste of my money and I will never use your services again as I was told by the caretaker owner lives abroad and that I should have had the dates I requested in july/August as they were available, albeit I would have been more than angry paying double in that month.
