The location of Constantine Bay Cottage is great; beautiful beach/coastline, YHA good for meals, close to Padstow, Weâve stayed at the Ocean Blue complex 4 times before, in different apartments, and been really impressed with all of them.
However arrival at Constantine Bay Cottage was quite disappointing for the following reasons: 1. Floors hadnât been cleaned properly- before unpacking we had to hoover the whole house. None of the corners/edges had been hoovered inc a large amount of dog hair in the main bedroom. 2. A used hair elastic was next to the main bed. 3. There was a welcome basket that contained only a used biro and a pot of drawing pins (no joke). When I moved the basket off the window sill there were dead flies underneath. 4. The outdoor area(s) clearly hadnât been swept for a long time; covered in sand, cobwebs etc. In addition the bench seat was broken. 5. There were crumbs in some cupboards and mould running down the fridge seal. 6. Small thing - in every other self catering property weâve always been left with a dishwasher tablet and a dish cloth. Nothing here so it was a good job I brought my own cleaning things. Our overall impression was of an uncared for property, yet charging a high price. Either the cleaners arenât doing their job properly or they arenât paid for enough time. It was disappointing (and annoying) to arrive and have to do so much cleaning. So, weâll definitely be back to the Ocean Blue complex but definitely not to this cottage.

We've been coming to Tryarnon Bay for over 25 years but this was our first trip to Trewalder. It didn't disappoint! Trewalder and Treyarnon Bay have all the ingredients for the perfect holiday...A beautiful house, the beach, the walks, the sunsets, the surf and the views (not forgetting the ice cream)! The S family managed to complete the Trewalder jigsaw... And for any other family who fancies tackling it, we can confirm that all 1008 pieces are there!Reccomendations Best Coffee to go: Quies coffee trailor at Constontine Bay. Best caffee coffee: Porthtowan beach cafe and Rick Steins Padstow. Best ice cream: Melts on the other side of the beach.Good pub grub at the Cornish Arms (Booking essential).Thank you...We'll be back!

If you would like a bad back and neck, then book this house.
I notified the owner about the uncomfortable mattress and flat pillows in the bedroom and I was just thanked for feedback. I left the cottage a day earlier as was in pain. I notified the owner, but no response. No washing machine available for 3 days. I had to go out while the fitters came to fit new w/machine. In return furniture hadnât been put back and door to cupboard just left propped against settee. I notified the owner, no response. Dead spider on lounge curtain, tiling in upstairs bathroom dirty ⦠Marvellous location ⦠to which the owner relies heavily so no need to resolve or put right concerns.

WOW!...After being in lock down, shut in adn masked up, what bliss...We have all loved this corner of Cornish Paradise.The house is beautiful, well equipped and comfortable.Absolutely amazing views and so lovely to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves.Really lucky with the weather and the surf was up!Warm shower was greatly appreciated after being thrown about in the waves.None of us wanted to go home - Trewalder is a real home from home (but better!).The most amazing holiday in a stunning location, we hope to return.You have thought of everything and thank you for the Welcome Hamper!
