What our customers say about their holidays

    • John - Verified booking

Typical of most estate agents, the photos of this apartment make it feel that it is bigger than it actually is.

It is also showing its age here and there – a bit of TLC would not come amiss. Whilst OK for my wife and I, it could be quite cramped with 4 adults or 2 children. Unfortunately, the instructions for opening the main barrier to the estate were rather confusing, as two pin numbers were given, but only one is correct. Also, the remote key fob does not work as this system was discarded by the estate some time ago. The hot water temperature was too high, making taking a shower a bit perilous as there seemed to be only two settings, very hot or super hot! I am 6ft 6 inches tall, but found the rooms to be OK, apart from the main bed being very low on the floor. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not that good with a lot of rain and also quite cold, the radiators were just about adequate. Because of the weather, we could not really make use of the two balconies, but no doubt in the summer they would be very good. The kitchen was well fitted with adequate tools, but a larger frying pan would be good, especially as we like eating a lot of fish! We ate in the Cove Restaurant, just below the estate, on our first night and the food here was very good. We did not make use of the leisure facilities, but the apartment/estate, overlooking the beach, is in a good location and the road into Maenporth not too bad. Overall we had an enjoyable week in this apartment, whilst reasonable value at this time of year, not sure we would like to pay more in high season.

We had a really lovely stay at the Thomas Chambers.

On arrival we saw a lovely welcome note with some goodies such as cookies which made us feel home straight away and was a really nice touch. Everything that we need was provided. We were able to cook our breakfast daily as the kitchenette provided all our basic needs and it even has a washing machine. The bed was nice and comfortable and it was lovely that they provided wifi, netfilx and amazon log ins. The location was very central and near New Quay and a lot of beautiful walks such as Godrevy and St. Agnes amongst the many other. The drive was very convenient and because of this we were able to fully explore Cornwall and appreciate how beautiful it is! Private parking was provided too and this place was near the grocery store and eating places it was very convenient. The only thing that we weren't very keen on was the control for the water heating. They provided a manual but it still took us about half an hour to figure out the settings and had to readjust it daily as it resets itself which was a bit frustrating especially after a tiring day out. Maybe for the more technology inclined this would not be an issue. Other than that we had a really amazing stay and would highly recommend this place. ❤

Fantastic cottage with everything you could possibly need.

Absolutely stunning view. Owners were warm and welcoming where nothing was too much trouble and would accommodate any needs. We would certainly not be looking elsewhere when we return as little valley view would meet all of our needs. We travelled with a small baby of 5 weeks old. Owners actually went out of their way to obtain a cot suitable for babies age. Our accommodation and daily chats with owners only added to our experience. It has been such a pleasure to get to know the owners and be welcomed by the local community of Angarrack. 10/10 in all areas. Our only fault is that we could not stay longer and now we can’t return quick enough. We would love to take the opportunity to wish the owners the very best for the future and say we both (and little one……who will be walking next time I’m sure) can’t wait to meet you both ….and little Wilson again; and this time hopefully have the chance to invite down for a sneaky 1/2, which unfortunately we didn’t get chance to do this time round due to change in our own travel plans. Love to you both and keep up the good work. Thank you Chris & Laura (and little Seb)

We are a family of four and this place was absolutely perfect for us.

The place is very homely and comfortable with everything you need. Washing machine was an added bonus! The owners Wayne and Sue were really friendly and helpful. Thanks for the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Much needed after a long journey. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall. Godrevy beach was our favourite place and we spent days there exploring and relaxing on the beach. Good waves for body boarding. As National trust members we got free parking too. Just a bit of a walk to get to the toilets from some parts of the beach. We ventured on the train to the very busy St Ives from St Erth train station. This is less than 10 minutes away, much easier than trying to park. We also had a lovely Sunday lunch and mid week evening meal at the local Angarrack Inn just a few minutes walk down the hill. I don’t have a bad word to say about little valley view. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We arrived hoping to enjoy a week away to rest and relax .

However we left after 4 nights as we could take no more. I’ll start with the positive Camborne is a great central location for exploring Cornwall. Close to station secure parking however this parking is in the building site. The accommodation is basically on a building site workmen in attached building from 6am banging and crashing around they may have well been at the foot of the shocking bed. Why has this not been addressed as I read recent reviews we are not the first to complain The accommodation was well below par. The bed was a disgrace. Lumpy well worn mattress pillows were terrible. Being on the top floor we understood the access via the stairs however if you are over 5 foot 2 you will not be able to use the kitchen comfortably. Lack of basic needs for cooking like oven gloves. Avoid at all costs totally Ruined our week away. Ended up booking into a hotel.
