We loved Benllech - the little town has a good choice of supermarkets and takeaways and places to eat.
The Benllech pub does excellent food. Benllech beach is clean, sandy and great for paddling and swimming. There are toilets, parking and beachside cafes and a beach warden service some days. The bungalow was a short walk from the beach so in a fantastic location. The bungalow was clean and ready for our arrival. Keys were easy to find. Some wine milk and cakes left in the kitchen for us were a nice welcome. According to comments left in the visitors book at the property there is a long list of problems experienced by guests at the property which the owners do eventually put right but they react too slowly. We arrived to find a note in the garage saying problems with plumbing for washer so I had to struggle with collecting water from the washer in buckets to carry through the bungalow to pour down outside drain. We reported this to the housekeeping service but it was not resolved during our stay. The property is not as advertised in its listing. The garden now looks nothing like as nice as in the photos of the property on Sykes website. It states there is a utility room, but it is in fact a garage. The cloakroom is literally a toilet in a converted cupboard. The toilet seat in the main bathroom is very loose - this has been mentioned numerous times in the guest book feedback and the taps in the sink in the bedroom drip. We did fit 2 cars on the drive but it would be difficult to fit the 3 cars the listing says it holds. There are wobbly slabs, bricks on a low wall that are just placed on top of each other with no mortar and a huge crack in the concrete arch over the gate to the back door. This could be a super property with some money and some work to repair and improve both the inside of the property and the garden. We were rather disappointed overall in the property it was not up to the high standard we have come to expect from Sykes properties and it did not match up to its description and photos on Sykes website.

Plas y Brain is a great house in a really peaceful and private location.
Thereâs plenty of room in the house and outside. The garden was great for our dog. This is a great spot for star gazing too as there is little to no light pollution in the surrounding area. The house was warm and spotlessly clean when we arrived. The kitchen has lots of worktop and cupboard space, and it is well equipped; although, a few extra dinner and side plates would be good. The fridge is about the size of an under counter fridge. We would have benefitted from a larger fridge as we took a weekâs worth of shopping with us but couldnât fit it all in. The shops in Benllech arenât far though, so I wouldnât take as much fresh food next time. We loved the large kitchen table. It was great for dining and playing games on. There was plenty of room in the large hallway when all 7 of us were trying to get shoes on and get out of the house. Some coat hooks/coat stand here would be beneficial. We used the shelves in the cupboards for coats and luckily had dry weather, so it didnât matter too much for us. The games room was good fun and enjoyed by all (age range from 9-77 years!). The stair gate made it easy to keep the dog downstairs as requested by the owners and there was a large space under the stairs area to put her crate. A point to note for visitors is to take a plug attachment to charge your electric toothbrush as there arenât any shaver points. We had a lovely family holiday here (lots of walking on the nearby beaches and coastal path followed by playing games at the house) and although we had really nice weather, we feel like the house would have been a good space if weâd had to stay in. We will definitely stay at Plas y Brain again the next time we visit Anglesey.

Had a great week at this cottage.
This is a lovely cottage, clean and comfy, bedding was quality, as were the towels. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, although a bit basic. Could do with at least one smaller frying pan, a couple of tablespoons and a spatula. I was a bit worried after reading other reviews about the size and condition of the freezer. Do not worry about it, the kitchen has a new under counter fridge and there is an under counter sized freezer in the utility/garage. Loved the large cage area in the utility where you can leave your dog if youâre not taking them with you, thought that was a brilliant idea. Iâve seen the damage that dogs tend to do when left on their own in a strange house. The outside area is completely safe for the dog. I have a LLahsa Apso, she thoroughly checked the garden for escape holes and didnât find any. I think the metal gate could do with some chicken wire over the base of it, a very small dog could probably get through it. There werenât any black bin sacks to replace the one that had to be put out Tuesday night for collection on Wednesday morning. There wasnât any information about when to put the bins out, or which ones to put out. Fortunately, I had my laptop with me, and I was able to check online. I also wrote down the days for the next year and pinned it to the cork board. As the previous reviewer has stated, the black bin was full to overflowing. Most people are happy to put the bins out, but they need to know when to do it, and have a bag to replace it with. Apart from the bin situation our holiday was a great success.

We had a lovely time at Ty Bedw.
The sea views were amazing from different windows and very unexpected. Everything was clean and on hand and we were very comfortable. Just had to be careful with regard to the different levels especially with a 3yr old, although she didn't seem to mind. Although we had fun in the garden, the pictures of it could do with updating online, because that's one of the things we liked about Ty Bedw, the big lawn area and the covered Pagoda, both of which aren't there anymore. Also, we felt that the rubbish in the grey bin from the previous tenants, should have been disposed of before we got there. We ended up leaving a bag at the side because it wouldn't go in. Nobody wants to go to the tip whilst they r on holiday!!! We did however, put all the recycling out, but the brown bin for food waste, we found next to the compost bin, with no bottom in it, so we had to put it in with the grey bin rubbish. Only little niggles, but they would have made all the difference. We still had a good time though and Ty Bedw is ideally placed for visiting the rest of the island and beaches etc. Menai Holidays have a great customer service and are a joy to deal with. kind regards.

This was a lovely house with absolutely everything we needed for a fantastic week in Anglesey.
Benllech beach was really close by and a favourite with the family, but the location is perfect for exploring the island too. We visited Newborough, South Stack, Anglesey Riding Centre, Plas Newydd, Beaumaris and Trearddur Bay during our stay and never spend more than 45 minutes in the car. It was perfect for us. The property itself is lovely, well appointed and a pleasure to be in. We loved the open plan living area, the stylish bedrooms and the outdoor space, especially the hot tub. The owners have really thought about making this property a great place to stay. Things like the selection of board games for a rainy day, the non-slip matting outside, the washer dryer in the kitchen and even the heated towel rails in both bathrooms so towels could be easily dried after the hot tub made this a fab stay. We would highly recommend this property!
