    Beverley Holiday Cottages

The minster town of Beverley lies in the East Riding of Yorkshire and serves as the county town. A thriving place that maintains its traditions and old-style charm, it inspired the naming of Beverley Hills, California – no mean feat given its relatively small size.

Those staying in Beverley holiday cottages are attracted to the town for its varied activity options despite its compact stature and traditional architecture. You can enjoy the allure of a quintessentially British town, without compromising on things to do. Beverley Racecourse hosts a busy schedule of events, the 13th century Beverley Minster offers guided tours and the wide-open pastures of Beverley Westwood are open for exploration. You can browse through boutique stores in the Flemingate Shopping Centre and finish the day with a classic pub meal in one of several traditional inns. Whatever you fancy doing on your break away, Beverley has you covered.

Snaptrip is proud of its holiday cottages in Beverley and the surrounding areas, and we list thousands of properties in total across our website. With every booking covered by the Snaptrip best price guarantee, you won't find better value elsewhere.

Sorry but I'm a one for lengthy reviews, so here goes.

I've made sections so hopefully it's easier to read. 1) Getting there. The directions we're good and obtaining the key was safe and easy (followed the instructions & phoned the owner on key info). 2) Set up. The owners had a house next door and there are two semi detached cottages, a 2 bed & a 1 bed on site. Both had access to a private garden & summer house containing a bonus of chairs, tables & even a BBQ. Location was good, only about 5 miles from the sea & Hornsea ( if you are energetic you could walk it as there were footpaths, to keep you off the road). The area surrounding the cottage was quiet with almost no traffic noise. 3) Arrival. The owner (Louise) was present when we arrived. We received a very nice, Yorkshire, welcome. 4) Cottage itself We stayed in the 2 bed. Fresh flowers, milk in the fridge & a tray of tea & coffee was another lovely touch & true to the description in the brochure. The cottage was immaculate & everything worked as it should including a good WiFi signal. 5) To sum up. Good location, friendly owners (many thanks Louise and Pete) Immaculate cottage with added little touches that made it feel special. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

First time with Sykes and I found this property listed as accessible, neccessary as my husband uses a wheelchair and cannot walk at all.

It is not accurately listed as the distance from the car parking space has loose gravel all the way to the front door and it was very difficult dragging him to our car each time we went out, we gave up in the end and he stayed in while I went out. There is absolutely no room for a wheelchair at the side of the bed and I had to move the bed against the wall for my husband to get into bed before me. I moved everything back before leaving the property in accordance with your rules. As a woman of 74 years old I don't believe I or indeed any guest, should have to do this. This property should not be advertised as accessible because it is not. The chairs at the table were not as pictured so my husband could not sit to the table for meals as he didn't feel safe. On a positive note our bedding was clean and the bedroom quiet. We were provided with a shower chair as requested which was really helpfull. The owner was friendly and called to see if we were ok on one occasion. Finally the property was not ready for us at 3pm on arrival and the welcome bottle of wine was noticeable by its absence. I prefer the service provided by airbnb who facilitate contact between owner and guest, I will not use Sykes again.

Excellent cottage, very modern and comfortable.

The cottage is located within the East Yorkshire village of Leven, a great place to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas. It’s only a short drive away to both Hornsea and Bridlington's beaches. Tracy our host made my mum and l feel extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble for her. She provided a shower chair for my elderly mother. It’s sometimes difficult to find an appropriate place to stay with an elderly person who has mobility issues. The cottage met all my mother’s physical needs. I would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Thank you Tracy for making our stay special.

The property owner is aware of our unhappy holiday due to inaccurate advertising.

It was an annexe in the owners back garden and not a cottage as we were led to believe through the advertising. It seems she was not concerned about its misleading description. Had we received written information we found on arrival, we would not have booked. A much needed holiday ruined and very disheartening. Will not use Sykes again as it appears they don’t check out the property to ensure that the description matches the holiday home. A very nice annexe for the right person but unfortunately it wasn’t suitable for us and advert is misleading. Clients need to be aware that it is in the owners back yard BEFORE they book.

This little gem is hidden away behind a house on an estate in Leven, East Yorkshire which is a lovely little village with two pubs, a convenience store and a take away that sells all sorts!

There is also a canal worth investigating if you can find it! The Let is small but perfectly adequate as a base to explore the region. It is very well equipped and the owner, Tracy, is very approachable if something is needed but not present. The bed fills the bedroom (it really does) and the walk-in shower is great. The TV is huge, the reclining seats are relaxing. The cooking kit is modern so read the instructions before use! It has all that one would need for a holiday. The welcome pack was, well, welcome and we enjoyed the bottle of fizz. We would be happy to rent it again if we return to the area.
