    Beverley Holiday Cottages

The minster town of Beverley lies in the East Riding of Yorkshire and serves as the county town. A thriving place that maintains its traditions and old-style charm, it inspired the naming of Beverley Hills, California – no mean feat given its relatively small size.

Those staying in Beverley holiday cottages are attracted to the town for its varied activity options despite its compact stature and traditional architecture. You can enjoy the allure of a quintessentially British town, without compromising on things to do. Beverley Racecourse hosts a busy schedule of events, the 13th century Beverley Minster offers guided tours and the wide-open pastures of Beverley Westwood are open for exploration. You can browse through boutique stores in the Flemingate Shopping Centre and finish the day with a classic pub meal in one of several traditional inns. Whatever you fancy doing on your break away, Beverley has you covered.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Steve - Verified booking

We have nothing else to add to the comments in the visitors/guest book.

They all echoed what we were saying before we read them. Our comments to you personally would be firstly parking. It wasn’t clear to us if there was a physical permit for us at the property, one that we’d need to dive in to get and put in the car? No great drama but if this was mentioned in the online format, rather than/in addition to the A4 binder that would’ve helped. Lastly, the standard of fixtures and fitting is well documented, but let down by the electric budget ‘Log burner’ effect fire. It was plenty warm enough, very toasty, but the fan is so loud the tv volume needs to be sky high. Not good for upstairs, or neighbours. Please don’t see these as negative comments, they only reflect how fantastic everything else is. Kind regards Steve and Helen Martin

This month we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing at tranquility base on the lunar sea of tranquility, my wife and I feel that we have discovered tranquility base here on planet earth in oak tree cottage.

Over the years we have stayed in many cottages in various parts of the uk and for us this one has been by far the top of our pops.the cottage was spotless clean, exceptionally well facilitated and ideally situated for reaching the many attractions and places to visit that East Yorkshire and the coastline has to offer. Our hostess Louise was excellent in providing a lovely welcome pack, help, and guidance as and when we required it.This cottage is one that we shall definitely return to in the future and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending oak tree cottage to anyone seeking a real value for money venue in this magical location. Roger and Christine Stephenson Mirfield, West Yorks.

Very lovely cottage, basic but comfortable.

Nice and clean although there were a lot of spiders on all the ceilings and in every corner which I understand can’t be helped as you are in the country but it would’ve been nice if these were removed prior to arrival. Very quiet and remote village, which we didn’t mind as it was nice to relax after a busy day in the main towns and beaches with the children. The views in tunstall were amazing and the morning and evening walks were lovely although it would’ve been nice to actually get down onto the beach as we couldn’t find any access to it. Overall the stay was good and I would highly recommend it for others.

These cottages are converted barns, rustic countryside charm, they are self catering, so you do need to factor in what supplies you need, so I’m not bothered if the toilet paper is cheep, I’m glad it’s there, as easily forgotten.

The cottage we stayed in for 3 weeks was cosy, I would have liked a door curtain just for extra coziness on cold nights. The living areas are set out well, the furniture is worn, but functional, and in keeping with the accommodation. Comfortable beds are very most important to me, we had a problem with the main bed mattress springs, I spoke with Tim, and he changed it that day. It wasn’t perfect, but it was much better. So I’d say personally, check bed comfort for guests. We cooked meals, did laundry etc and it was really nice to have a change of scenery and a much needed break. And I would book again.

We were returning to East Yorkshire so that I could relive my student days at Hull University but wanted to stay somewhere peaceful and relaxing.

Couldn't have chosen a better place! The cottage was in a lovely location with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Pretty garden and good quality furnishings. Louise was a very welcoming host - happy to help us with questions we had about the area. We would also recommend the nearby pub - The New Inn for a very friendly and comfortable place to eat and socialise. Welcoming to children with good food at very reasonable prices. We really relaxed and recharged our batteries! Also the city tour of Hull with Paul Schofield was fascinating and well worth considering.
